Chapter 19

"Have a great day!" I said hugging Rose.

She hugged me back so tightly, I thought I might suffocate.

"I'll try," she said as we pulled apart.

I kissed her and and whispered.

"I love you."

"I love you too," she said as she walked into the room that the principle had directed us too.

"Mommy?"

Annie said taking my hand.

"Yes babe?"

"Is Annie going to be okay?"

"She's going to do great!" I said enthusiastically.

"Okay." She said as we walked out of the building.

We walked the three blocks to Annie's preschool. We walked into the building where we were directed to her classroom. I met her teacher and said goodbye to Annie, who had already made a friend as I was talking to her teacher.

Soon it was just me.

I went to rehearsal for the tour today!

This tour is going to be the coolest thing I have ever done.

Calvin also texted me that he was in town, and I invited him over to dinner. Eeeeeekkkk!

Soon, it was time to pick up the girls.

Since Annie's school got out half an hour early, I picked her up first.

"Mommy!" She said running towards me.

"Hey Annie!" I said giving her a big hug. "How was your day!"

"It was weally good! I made a new fwiend," she said pointing to a girl giving what seemed to be her mom a hug.

"That's awesome! What's her name?"

"Lucy!" Annie said and walked over to her friend. They started chatting away, whilst I introduced myself to her mother. We exchanged numbers, and me and Annie went to pick up Rose.

We arrived to Rose's school and waited outside with all the other parents for the kids to come out.

At exactly 3:30 the kids came rushing out.

I grip Annie's hand tightly so she doesn't get lost in the crowd.

One good thing about being tall is you can look over everybody, so soon enough I spot Rose.

She come running into my arms.

Uh oh was the first and only thing I could think.

"Well, How was it?" I said still hugging her.

She lifts her head for me to see her face. There is a small, warm, comforting smile across it.

I'm beaming with relief.

We walk home (having to take the long route to avoid the paparazzi). When we get home I set the girls up with an art project and start making dinner.

"Mommy?"

"Yes Annie?" I say turning around from the stove to see her at the island.

"What awe you making?"

"Spaghetti!"

I saw a smile grow on her face.

"And I also have a friend coming over tonight. His name is Calvin."

"Does Calvin like unicorns?"

I laugh at her question. "I betcha!"

Once I finish dinner, we cleaned up the girls project (Rose made an awesome dream catcher that we hung in the living room, and Annie made a finger paint) we got ready.

I gave Annie a bath (considering the state she was in) and Rose took a shower.

I picked out the girls outfits, because I wanted them to look amazing. Annie wore a pink dress with purple bows all over it, and Rose had on a blue romper.
I changed into a baby blue dress with polka dots.

Once we were ready, I told the girls to go play, while I set the table.

As I was setting the table a million thoughts ran through my head.

Is this a relationship? Will he like the girls? Will we kiss again?

The thoughts were interrupted by a the doorbell.

I buzzed him in, and soon enough I heard a knock at the door.

I rushed over, took a deep breath and opened the door.
