Chapter 33

Taylor's POV

"Are you guys excited for the trip!" Asked Calvin.

It was December 10, and we left for our trip to Hawaii tomorrow night. Calvin was having dinner at our place, and was going to take the cats while we were gone.

I laughed as the girls started nodding excitedly while eating they're salmon.

"Mommy?"

"Yes Annie?"

"Are we going to get to see the dolphins?"

"Even better. Were going to swim with them!"

Annie's mouth dropped open, and she started dancing in her seat.

Rose got up from her chair, and walked over to where Calvin was sitting, and sat on his lap.

"Well hello there!" He said planting a kiss on her forehead.

She gave him a big smile and turned to look at me.

"Can Calvin come? Please?"

"Rosie, you know he has to work. Christmas time is a busy time," I said glancing around at our VERY decorated house.

"But I promise I'll see you the minute you get home!"

"Okay," Rose said pulling her knees into her chest and leaning back on Calvin.

I looked at Calvin sorrowfully, as if begging him to come, and he gave me a pitiful one back.

Over the last couple of months, we've all grown really close, and not seeing Calvin for more than a week would be hard on all of us.

"I know!" Calvin said. "How about we make some christmas cookies and watch Elf?"

"Okay!" Said Rose.

Soon we were all in the kitchen baking away. Their was dough and sprinkles everywhere. An hour later we were all pilled on my bed, watching Elf, and eating cookies.

Half way through the movie, I look over and find 2 little girls on either side of Calvin, asleep on his chest and Calvin watching the movie with interest.

"Cal? They're asleep."

He turned to look at me, then at the girls, then back at me. A warm, toothless, smile grew on his face. Like it was planned, we both reached for one of the girls, and picked them up. We walked out of my rooms and brought them into their own. I dropped Rose off, changed her into her pjs and tucked her in. Then I went next door and saw Annie in bed, with Calvin squatting beside her stroking her hair. I walked up behind him and put my hand on his shoulder.

"Can you grab her pjs?" I whisper

"Sure," he says standing up and walking towards her drawer.

I go over to where Annie is, and slowly lift her into a sitting position. Calvin comes back and I change her into her pjs, and tuck her in.

"Night love-bug" I saw kissing her.

Me and Calvin walked out of the room and into mine. I flopped down on the bed. Calvin crawled on next to me and pulled me into my arms and started kissing my neck. I giggled and turn towards him, kissing him back. Just as I thought it was going to go a step further, I pulled back.

"Even though I love kissing you, I have to pack." I said stoking his cheek.

He pouted, giving me puppy dog eyes.

I gave him one last kiss, and pulled away for a long night of packing.
