Taylor's POV
"Hey you!" I said pulling Calvin into a hug.
"Hi!" He said.
We pulled back a little bit, and I could tell the timing was right, so I pecked him on the lips.
He smiled warmly.
"Well, come on in!" I said.
He walked in, and I noticed he had 3 bags with with tissue paper sticking out.
"Oh Calvin," I started, looking at the bags, then into his eyes. "How sweet!"
He pulled me into another hug. The hug lasted a while, but I wasn't complaining. I felt so safe in his arms, like nothing could hurt me.
Eventually, the hug ended and I showed him where he could set his stuff down, and I took his jacket.
"GIRLS!?" I called, "CALVIN'S HERE!"
I then turned to him and said,
"Their first day of school was today."
"How did it go?!"
"From what I know, good.."
Just then the girls entered.
"Hi Mommy," Annie said hugging my legs.
"Annie, Rose, this is Calvin." I said.
"Hi Calvin! I'm Annie! And guess what, my birthday is in..."
She started to count on her fingers, her eye brows scrunched together as she concentrated.
"3 DAYS!" She said holding up 4 fingers.
"Woah!" Calvin said bending down to her level. "How old will you be?"
"Fouwe!" she said holding up 5 fingers.
Me and Calvin laughed, as she hugged him.
"And this is Rose," I said giving her an encouraging little shove towards Calvin.
"Hi," she said giving a small smile and wave.
"Hi Rose!" He said pulling her into a hug. She seemed a little uncomfortable, but I knew she would warm up to him.
"I've got something for you guys!"
Instantly their eyes lit up.
"Come on!" He said taking their hands and leading them into the living room.
I stayed behind to snap a picture of the cutest moment ever.
"Mr. Calvin?" Annie said as we were walking.
"Yes Annie?"
"Where awe you fwom?"
"Scotland!"
"That's so cool!" Rose piped up.
He chuckled.
Once we were all in the living room, Adam took 2 of the 3 bags and sat down on the couch. He patted to the spot next to him for me to sit down, which I gladly accepted. The girls sat on the floor in front of us, excitement in their eyes.
"Ok, this one is for..." He said quickly looking in the bag. "Annie, and this is for Rose." He handed the girls the bags, and they immediately opened them.
"MOMMY LOOKS AT THE MARKERS!" Annie said taking out a pack of probably about 50 really nice markers.
"OH MY GOSH!" I said.
"I CAN MAKE SO MANY PICTURES!"
Me and Calvin both laughed at this.
"This is so cool!" Rose said, shifting our attention over to her.
She held up a very cool pair of blue cleats with a pink nike stripe, and a soccer ball.
I had told Calvin that she was starting soccer, and he was super excited.
Rose tried on the shoes, and they fit perfectly.
After the girls (and I) thanked Calvin for the presents, we went to go eat.
"Something wrong Mom?" Rose said.
She must've noticed me standing over the table thinking.
"Oh nothing, I just had an idea. How about we eat on the roof? It's such a nice night."
"Yeah!" Said Annie.
Soon we had moved everything up to the roof deck.
We ate our dinner and watched the sun set over the gorgeous city.
Soon, the girls had to go to bed, so we brought the plates downstairs, and I set up an ice cream sundae bar.
After many brain freezes, ice cream mustaches and whipped cream art, it was time for the girls to go to bed.
Calvin helped me get them ready, and tuck them in.
He gave them each a bedtime kiss (WHICH WAS THE CUTEST THING EVER), and told Rose a story.
"They're amazing Tay, you did well."
"Aww thank you," I said lacing my hand in his and going downstairs.
"Okay, I should do the dishes, but your welcome to watch tv or something."
"No, let me help you with the dishes."
"It's okay, your my guest!"
"No please, really." He made a sad puppy dog face that I couldn't refuse.
Soon we were doing the dishes and having a soap war.
Once the dishes were clean and put away, I poured us each a glass of wine, and we went to sit out on the terrace just off of my bedroom.
"Look how gorgeous this place is," I said overlooking my beautiful city.
"It is amazing isn't it."
"Yeah," I said taking a sip of my wine.
We stood up from our seats to get a better view.
He had his arm around me, and my head was leaning against his shoulder.
"Oh and thank you for the presents for the girls, that was so sweet and thoughtful."
"Oh, no problem." He said.
"Wait! I almost forgot!" He said and quickly let go of our position and ran back inside.
I stood there in confusion not knowing what to do.
a minute later he came back with the 3rd bag that he had brought. He sifted through it and pulled out a box. Then he walked over to wear I was standing and took my hands.
"Taylor, you are one of the most gorgeous, kind and talented people I have ever met." He then pulled the box out of his pocket.
My heart skipped a beat.
HOLY CRAP IS THIS GUY INSANE? IS HE GONNA PROPOSE?! And I thought Harry was crazy!
"Will you do the honor of being my girlfriend?"
GOD BLESS THE LORD
He opened the box to reveal the prettiest opal necklace I had ever seen.
"YES!" I screamed and hugged him.
He pressed his lips against mine, and I felt so close to him.
We released and he put the necklace around my neck. Even though it didn't really go with what I was wearing, I didn't care.
I didn't care at all.
