It's one of those Mondays
LUKE:I lay with Michael in my arms on his bed as per usual. My mum had been quite bitchy about me leaving so much lately, but I knew that was just because she missed me, I knew she liked Michael really.
I could tell Michael was nervous- no, petrified for school even though he wouldn't admit it. In fact, I think he was trying to hide it from me.
"Mikey.." I began, trying to rethink if I really wanted to be starting this conversation, maybe he would take it the wrong way.
"Hmm?" He replied as he tapped his stylus along the DS screen.
"I know you're scared.. about school..."
I watched him visibly tense, and then he seemed to shake it off as he plastered a fake smile on his face. "I'm not scared, I have you, remember?"
"I know you're lying." I rolled my eyes.
"I'm not scared." He said, gluing his eyes to the screen of his small games console, as if he was afraid to look up. "I'm definitely not. I have you, and nothing bad is gonna happen to me. At all."
"Michael-"
"I mean I love school, like all the different groups of people. I'm sure I'll find some friends and I'll-"
"MICHAEL!" I yelled. He jumped a little and he tapped his stylus at his game quicker and quicker by the second until I was scared he was going to crack the screen.
I took the small pen from his hand lightly but he kept looking down at the DS.
"Michael look at me." I said calmly. He shook his head a little.
"I- I have to keep watch f-for enemies." He said shakily.
I sighed a little and leaned forward, closing his DS. He didn't seem one bit annoyed though.
"I want you to listen to me, properly this time." I spoke softly, taking his hand. "Are you gonna do that?"
He nodded, keeping his face down.
I cleared my throat. "Nothing will happen, I promise. And when I make a promise I don't break it. Okay?"
"Okay." he croaked.
I pulled him into a hug and kissed his cheek, making him blush.
"Can we go to the park?" He asked quietly.
"Of course." I smiled and after he was ready, we left.
He pulled his coat closer to himself, it was quite cold today. Even though he didn't seem to enjoy the chill, I personally thought he looked adorable.
We sat on the same swings from last time, Michael shoving his hands deep in his pockets to try and keep warm.
We began to swing slowly, trying to fill the air with conversation but everything I could say had left my mind.
Michael slumped in his place, looking bored.
"What's up?" I asked him with a frown.
"I wanna play but it'll look stupid." He mumbled.
"There's no one here." I said, confused.
"If anyone comes. It doesn't matter."
I huffed and looked at him, trying to ignore the smile creeping on my face.
"Hey Michaelllll," I smiled.
"What?"
"Want to go down the slide?"
He looked shocked at my question but slowly nodded, letting me take his hand.
He climbed up the steps before me, I was constantly shoving his lower back in attempt to make him go faster, but he apparently had a small problem with heights.
Once we got to the top, Michael sat down and I slotted in behind him. Without warning I pushed us off and we took the short slide down to the bottom.
Michael giggled and it made my heart melt.
"Again?" I asked and he nodded happily.
We must have gone down that damn slide about 20 times before we lay at the bottom of it, Michael's back resting on my chest as I breathed lightly.
"Luke?"
"Yeah?"
"I don't want to be alone forever."
"You're not Mike, you're my boyfriend." I said."I know, I just meant like... I'd like a family. A home, where I would have someone around all the time,"
"Are you talking about marriage?" I raised an eyebrow. He blushed and looked down at the floor. I smiled and wrapped my arms around the front of him.
"Don't be embarrassed. Maybe we will get married one day,"
"Really?" He asked in a hopeful voice.
"Uh huh."
It was getting cold and I was wondering when we would go home and get some food. I was hungry. Michael didn't seem hungry but he never did.
"Can you um... tell me about it?" The fluffy haired boy mumbled.
"About what?"
"If we were married. What would life be like?"
I smiled at his adorableness. "Well, I'd get home from work-"
"Why wouldn't I work?" He asked, puzzled.
"Because I would work so you wouldn't have to." I answered in a duh tone.
"Anyway as I was saying, I'd get home. We would dance around in the kitchen as you made dinner because I was tired and you love me that much."
He rolled his eyes and waited for me to continue.
"And we would do whatever you god damn wanted. Movies, Food, Bed, anything. And we'd go out all the time to fancy places and I would treat you like my little princess." I heard him breathe in a little sharply.
"Would it really be like that?"
"It would." I nod even though he couldn't see me. "And it will be. One day." I stroked his hair and he leaned into my touch.
"Can we go home now? I'm hungry." Michael whined. I agreed and we walked home hand in hand, though I couldn't not notice the little spring Michael had in his step now. That made me happy. Very happy indeed.
