Michael went to Luke's funeral a week later and Steven had been put away for life.
His mum was okay but she was only worried about Michael- and rightly so.
He had fallen into a deep state of depression. He didn't do anything anymore, not even in his room. He couldn't stand being in there anymore after what had taken place and he wanted to move except they didn't have the money.
All he ever did was stare at the photo of him and Luke- the only one they had taken together. His mum had offered to get it printed and framed for him so he sat with the picture in his shaking hands as he cried for yet another night.
If someone ever told him he would want marriage before he met Luke he would have laughed in their face but after being with Luke- that's all he ever wanted in life.
He started school a few weeks later- though he hardly ever turned up for the time he was there and the only friend he made was a bad one. And just like that he was back on cocaine and it was twice as bad as before.
Michael died about 2 months later from well.. People don't know exactly. There were many stories told ranging from mixing alcohol with drugs to someone slipping something in his drink- his mum had heard them all.
But in the end it wasn't drugs or drink that killed Michael- it was a broken heart.
