I hardly recognize you now
Between the pale skin
And the dry eyes
lips in a line
Hair lying still
Hands that never grew worn and weathered
Face that never grew wrinkled and old
A body that never grew shriveled and weak
Mouth full of truths that will never be told
And now as I sit
Sit here watching your face
I can't help but look
Look for just a small trace
Of the person you were
Of the one you would have been
But now that's all lost
Because of my sins
