Them days
They were worth it ma'be
Them nights when all the
Stars would fade
And we would be the only ones
But those days are gone.
Yea the weeks
Them weeks all of 'em
Were worth it all the hours
Spent stretched in the fields
Our families against our
Love's mighty shield
But those days are gone.
The months, oh
The months we spent
They were worth it
Time spent running through
The forbidden places
Hours upon hours wasted
But those days are gone.
Ah the years
The years we spent were all
All of them worth it
The life spent forgiving each other
And making mistakes
One after another
But those days are gone.
But now the minute
Just a minute
We will spend together
Is so worth it
Just to see your face again
Before I settle in to rest
So I will do as death has told
And leave you a cold hand to hold
