Chapter 13:
Time
"Do you really believe in this reality that you're in? How can you even tell what's real anymore? What if you're nothing but a dreamer from a nightmare that will forever exist? But the question is, how could you tell the difference between what's real and what's a hallucination?"
I woke up startled. Sweat trickled down from my forehead and my heart began to pound out of my chest. I looked around the room and found Cherry fast asleep next to me. I opened the window and saw that it was cloudy. The weather seemed calm but it looked like there would probably be a storm, but I didn't care about that at the moment. I decided to go to the bathroom and just look at how bad the darkness has spread on my skin.
I didn't react much because I already knew that it got worse yesterday. I knew that by tomorrow I'd probably be covered by the darkness and Blurryface would probably take over.
I just hope Cherry wouldn't freak out over seeing half my face already covered by darkness and my other eye had already turned red.
I sat down the bed and Cherry slowly aroused and looked at me a bit sadly. "I'm late for work" She said. "Can you...Take me there?" She asked shyly. "Are you kidding me?!" I raged "I nearly killed you yesterday and now you're asking me to take you to work?" "What's wrong with you?! Do you enjoy death? Because I'll give you death!" I continued grabbing her by her neck and putting up against the wall.
"Clarisse!" I heard someone call me "Clarisse!" It called to me again and that's when I snapped out of it. This all happened inside my head. "Clarisse what happened to you?" Cherry asked. "I-I'm sorry. I nearly killed you" I said shuddering. "What are you talking about? I'm fine. I'm worried about you! You just blacked out" She said. "No but I nearly choked you to death. I could feel you losing your breath. What if I really did that?" I asked "I know you'd never do that to me" She said trying to make me feel better. "I'll just take you to work" I said trying to clear out anything I could think that would deny whatever she said.
So I picked her up and flew outside from the window.
We both reached the music store safely and I was actually sweating because I was too afraid that I might drop her again but thank goodness none of that happened.
"Thank you for that Tyler- Gosh I meant Clarisse" She said face palming herself. "Why do you keep on calling me Tyler?" I asked raising my eyebrow. "Yes you can come in" She said running inside. I paused and kept a straight face at least for a minute. That was not the answer I was looking for but I went into the shop anyway. I just really wanted to spend the last few moments with her.
I entered the store but I couldn't find her. I looked around till I heard someone call my name "Clarisse! Over here!" She called out. I looked to the direction of the noise and saw her standing there. I walked towards her "Yes Cherry, what do you need?" I asked. "Do you know how to play the piano?" She asked me. "I don't know if I've ever played the piano" I said nervously. "Come on. Please try to" She said shaking my arm. "Alright I'll try to" I said rolling my eyes. I sat down on the small chair and just placed my fingers on the keys and started playing whatever came to mind. "Heard you say, 'Not today' Tore the curtains down, windows open, now make a sound, heard your voice, there's no choice, tore the curtains down, windows open, now make a noise" I sang. I looked at Cherry to see her reaction and she gave me a cute little applause "That was amazing!" She said hugging me. "Thank you" I said smiling. "It's been really nice hanging out with you Clarisse. I just wish you could stick around" She said letting go of the hug. "Yeah we all knew that eventually only one can survive" I said sadly "Blurryface is still out there to get me. Blurryface isn't in my head anymore. Because I'm Blurryface, and if I start running. Then I'm just running away from myself" I explained "Stop it please. I know you can survive this" She said close to tears "I know that too but I keep saying 'Not today' I keep saying that Blurryface won't take over today, but it says the opposite and now I don't know what to believe" I said rather coldly. "Clarisse" She said looking at me. "I'm sorry Cherry, but I can't see you anymore" I said turning away and running. "Clarisse wait!" I heard her yell and at some point I felt her grabbing my arm but I broke free. I didn't want to see her do any of that. I just want her to let me go. I can't keep putting her in danger. I can't keep apologizing to her.
I flew up to the roof of the abandoned building, looking down at the world below me. I walked towards the place where I broke the glass roof the last time I was there. I could still see my reflection through the parts that weren't completely destroyed, and I now knew that it was over. I knew that I could never go back and that I've turned into something I never wanted to turn into. I turned into a monster.
I sat at the edge of the building and looked below sadly. At this point. Nothing really matters. I watched a white feather drifting in front of me, it kept floating around until i saw it fall to the ground.
That was the last part of purity in me. That was my last white feather.
That's the last of good I have in me.

Okay first off I have to give a huge apology for not publishing this chapter. It first started because I had quizzes and stuff going around in school and I barely had anytime to write, and when I decided that I'll finally write. Then my phone got water damaged and it took me 3 days to try and get it back and thank goodness it worked. Then at that time it was a few days before I went to a 30 Seconds to Mars concert (which was awesome) but now I'm feeling sick so yeah. This fanfic will be over soon and everything will finally make sense.
