chapter 13

  Sorry for any spelling/grammar mistakes

  My mate howled in pain as the wolf on his back began to dig it's claws into his back. I quickly snapped out of it and jumped into action. I switched not caring which form I used as long as it got the wolf off of my mates back.

    I jumped over Drakes head and bit into the wolf tearing it off of his back. With a howl of agony Drake switched into his wolf form, but before he could help me another wolf darted out from the bushes. This one much smaller than the first, so I guessed it was female. The female began to make it's way toward me, but Drake stopped her before she could reach me.

    A sharp pain in my leg brought me back to my fight. Realizing I was in my leopard form I knew speed would be my advantage in this fight.  I quickly took in the wolf's already worn out condition knowing this fight is already won. A low growl escaped my throat as I began to circle the wolf. I could see the fear in his eyes as he realized what I was.

   He began to submit and I, not knowing what to do sat staring at him. The female wolf came over to the male wolf's side and began to nudge him up. Drake came up to stand by my side. Without thinking I switched back to my human form. I commanded the other's to do the same.

"What's going on here?" I asked the two wolves. The male wolf was tall, but shorter than Drake with dark hair and dark blue eyes that look as if they have seen more than their share. The female was small with long blonde wavy hair, and bright green eyes. The male stood in front  of the female in a way that let on he was ready to push her out of the way, in order to keep her safe.

Neither looked as if they were about to talk so I asked them again "What are you doing here?" I thought I was being pretty nice, since they were the ones who are in Drakes...I mean our territory. The law is that anyone who is not inviting into another pack's territory can be killed on the spot, and usually they are, but I am hoping these two know what the freak happened with the rouges.

"Please don't hurt us" the female begged. I could see tears forming in her eyes and felt bad for her, but I need to figure out what was going on.

"Just tell me why you are here and what you know about the rouges attacking us." I explained carefully.

The male rouge answered this time. 'Our alpha...well I guess you could call him our alpha, gave us a command to attack without much of an explanation. He said that your pack had something he wanted."

I stood there lost in thought. What could be here that an alpha would want. I could see Drake straining to figure out the same thing. Then it clicked.

"Me." I whispered. Drake stiffened immediately. The two rouge wolves began to look even more uncomfortable.

"We hadn't known why or what the alpha could want until we saw you." The female wolf said. It was as if all the air was sucked out of my body and I was left standing there blankly, not able to form a thought.

"I am going to bring you both back to my pack house. You will have to stay in our cells for now until something else is arranges." Drake said. Four wolves from our pack came out of the woods. Two switched to there human forms and handcuffed the two rouges and walked away with the other two wolves at their heals.

"Are you ok?" He asked me. I stood there blankly, this is so not good. The best I could do to answer him was give a curt shake of my head. The next thing I knew he picked me up bridal style and we were running back to the pack house.

Hey guys! how awesome am I? I updated again! Unfortunately I am going away this weekend and will not have time to update again. So this is it until after Monday. Ok so vote, comment, and smile cause it is a lot of fun!
