Hey guys I’m sorry I haven’t updated this book in what like a month? I’ve had some major writers block for this book and then I got sick. I hope you enjoy this chapter and I will try to update again soon!

‘My family told me stories about someone like you who could hear our thoughts, but that was a long time ago,’ the she wolf told me.

I was shocked. I had gotten my first power and it was that I could hear animals thoughts.

“Who did this to you?” I asked her.

‘I didn’t really see much because I had been hunting and I really wasn’t looking for any flying objects nearby.’ She tried to joke. ‘What I had seen was after the silver knife was impelled into my side. This form, it was almost like a shadow, came of nowhere. It was going to finish me off when you and your friend scared it away.’

“Wow.” Was my only response. “Those dark forms had attacked us just the other night. By us I mean my pack.” I told her.

‘Do you have any idea why they would attack me?’ the she wolf asked.

“We think it was because you were mistaken for a werewolf.” I answered her question honestly.

‘My name is Zahara, so you can stop calling me she wolf.’ I laughed and smiled.

“That’s a pretty name, I am Cara.” I told her.

Just as I was about to ask her another question the doctor walked in a said “We are going to let the she wolf go now, would you like to come along?”

“Yes I just have to go inform my friend that I am leaving.” I told the doctor. I used my shifter speed to get me back to Lynn’s room. Lynn was still unconscious, and Emily was holding her hand.

“Hey Emily, I am going to leave the hospital. I’ll be back soon.” I told her, and walked out of the room before she could reply. I ran down the hallway back to Zahara’s room.

“What are you doing?” I yelled when I saw they were about to use a tranquilizer gun to put Zahara to sleep.

“Miss, this is necessary to get the wolf…” I cut him off and nocked to gun out of his hands.

“No it’s not.” I said calmly. “Come on Zahara, let’s get you back to the woods.” Zahara jumped off the table and followed me out the door. I turned around for a moment to find the doctors that were in the room, staring at me as if I had grown to heads. I turned back around and walked, with Zahara at my side out of the hospital.

It was a quick journey from the hospital to the woods. I was sad thinking of Zahara leaving.

‘Don’t worry Cara, if you ever need me or want to see me, all you have to do is think my name. And the same goes for me, right?’

“Of course Zahara, if you ever need me I’ll come.” I told her.

She nodded her big wolf head and began to walk off into the woods.

‘Bye Cara.’

“Bye.”
