Chapter 16

"Drake!" My voice came out desperate. "Please." I used my puppy dog eyes again. But before he could speak again a ear piercing scream ripped through the hospital.

I covered my ears with my hands and looked at Drake with wide eyes. The flecks of purple in his eyes were starting to get bigger which means his wolf was close to taking over. Before I could say anything Drake picked me up and started running. I had no clue where he was taking me but I did not argue.

I watched as wolves of all colors and sizes rushed in the direction the scream had come from. Drake kept running full wolf speed and under thirty seconds we were outside the hospital and still running. "Drake." I was surprised to find my voice was not shaky.

He looked ay me with violet eyes, and I knew I was talking to his wolf now. "I am taking you back to the pack house." His voice was deeper.

I heard another scream closer and more familiar. I looked around to find out what was happening. Just ahead of us Lynn was laying on the ground blood pouring our of her sides. "LYNN!" I yelled jumping out of Drakes arms. He growled in protest and chased after me.

I fell to my knees next to Lynn. "Lynn..." I whispered. Drake stood by me tense and waiting. I put my hands on Lynn's sides trying to stop the bleeding. "Lynn!" I yelled. Her eyes started to flutter, till the finally opened.

"Cara?" her voice came out horse. I nodded my head.

"It's going to be ok." I told her. I heard another scream and looked up to see Emily running towards Lynn's body. Before she could reach us a dark body came out of no where and clawed at her face. She fell to her knees crying. Before the thing could kill her, a golden wolf jumped onto it's back ripping it's head off. I guessed this wolf was Greg.

He switched back to his human form and picked Emily up bringing her over hear. "Lynn..." Emily said quietly. I looked up at her with tears in my eyes. Lynn's still form was getting paler. I looked for a heart beat, and found a weak one.

"We need a doctor!" I yelled at the top of my lungs. I looked around to find an even more frantic scene. People were running around like mad men. Every second another dark form would appear and another person would drop to there knees.

Tears started to overflow my eyes and I let them fall. What was going on? Drake and Greg both seemed to tense again and growls escaped their throats. Greg put Emily down near her sister who crawled closer to her and started to cry into her shoulder. Both Drake and Greg shifted into their wolf forms taking protective stances around us.

My wolf felt uneasy sensing something powerful coming. I looked around thinking a dark form was coming towards us, but finding nothing. I whipped the tears off my face feeling it harden with determination. I wasn't going to let anyone die because of these stupide dark forms.

I stood up and looked around and found more body's then I cared to count laying on the ground. Drake must have felt my shift in mood as he turned to look at me. I could see flecks of gold in his violet eyes telling me that his wolf did not have full control.

Before he could say anything to me I jumped up and shifted to my hawk form. Drake let out a loud whimper but I formed a mental wall so he could not talk to me.

I flew around the hospital seeing a lot of dark forms. I saw a wolf struggling to protect his mate and decide to help him. 

I flew down closer to the dark form, and as the wolf caught my eye, I shifted into my panther form and jumped on the dark form's back.

Before the dark form could fight me, I dug my claws deeper into it's back and bit into its neck. I shook my head and ripped its head off. The body feel to the ground. The wolf I had lowered it's head to me in respect realizing who I was. I took off in my hawk form again planning to help more but noticed the dark forms where gone.

Everyone was helping each other and taking care of those who were hurt. I flew back over to Lynn's body, and ran into Drakes arms.
