Chapter 22

Cara's POV

There's so much to do and so little time to do it.

After Lynn told us her story I started to panic.

After being told you are one of the three warriors who can defeat some coming evil I think panicking is normal. But that's from the perspective of someone who is panicking.

I ran out of Lynn's hospital room like my rear end was on firer.

"Cara! Wait, where are you going." I pushed my feet faster and it was almost as if I was flying through the hallway. Doors and windows were a blur as I rushed passed them.

And suddenly my mind processed I was about to run into a set of metal double doors, I slammed to stop.

Just as fast as I had stopped I walked calmly out the door and into the air.

My whole body shook Teton goosebumps formed on my exposed arms.

I collapsed and sobbed into my hands.

"Deep breaths.Shhh, it's gonna be all right." Sparks shot up my back and through my body as Drake rubbed my back.

I closed my eyes and leaned into his touch. "This is crazy. Do you really think Lynn saw the moon goddess?" I wondered more to myself.

"I believe at this point anything is possible." I nodded agreeing with him, but this truth only made reality that much more unbearable.

"I've never really fought anyone before. How is it two others and I are supposed to defeat this evil? What would happen if we didn't?"breathing became harder as my over active mind came up with the most dreadful situations.All included someone dieing.

"Cara."Drake gripped my chin and titled my head so I was looking into his eyes. "I promise you this is all going to work out. I will do everything in my power to protect you."

Unwanted tears spilled over my eyes. "and who's going to protect you! I'm not strong enough to protect myself!Drake if anything were to happen to you I would die." I confess whole heartedly.

Drake ,obviously speechless, only held me tight. "it's going to be ok, I promise."he finally says.

AN: I was gonna make much longer but I just got distracted and i didn't know where I was going but I really wanted to update so yeahh...ill do better next time.
