"Mmh..." Yao stirred. He opened one eye and then the other. 'Am I still in the woods, aru?' thought Yao to himself, sleepily.

He felt strong arms around him. "Ivan?" He looked beside him. What he saw was a sleeping Ivan, with his arms around him and his tail on his lap.

He saw darkness. Not the complete and utter darkness you see when you close your eyes, but there was beauty in the darkness he was in. The moonlight shone and made certain things seem like they were glowing. He could hear crickets chirping around, he never thought they were annoying, though. The flowers' vibrance dimmed down a bit, and the glow caused them to look mysteriously beautiful. He liked this.

Then he heard rustling. He pried Ivan's arms off him and got up. He saw two pairs of glowing eyes from the direction of where he heard the rustling. He got to the next tree and climbed up, watching from the branch.

"BIG BROTHER!" exclaimed a creepy-sounding female voice.

"Hush, you might wake him," said another female voice.

They emerged from the seemingly never ending forest of trees. Their hair shone in the moonlight. One had long, straight hair with a white bow on it. The other was a bit taller than the first. She had short hair, and even from the tree, Yao could see she was very.... built.

"Oh, isn't he adorable?" The taller one asked the other.

"He's so sexy," He heard the other mutter.

Yao made an ultimately bewildered face. The long haired girl embraced him.

"Big brother!" She said, burying her head in his chest.

'That's Ivan's sister?' He thought.

He felt weird. The sight of this made him feel a bit angry. Unknowingly, he let out an angry huff.

She suddenly threw herself off if him, surprising the other woman. "Natalia, what's the matter?"

"Big brother smells different," she said as she bent down and sniffed him again.

"What does he smell like?"

"He has a spicy smell on him," she explained. "It smells delicious, but I've never smelled anything like it before."

"Oh, my," the short haired woman said, staring at the tree Yao was in. She didn't see him, though, for the tree covered him up well.

The shorter girl sniffed the air, and glared at the tree he was in. Before explaining why she did so herself, she asked the other, "Big sister, why are you looking at this tree?"

"I just could've sworn I heard something here," the elder said, not taking her eyes off the tree.

"I smell the spicy aroma there," the younger glared with the iciest eyes Yao had ever seen.

Afraid, he held his breath and gripped the branch tight, waiting for one of the to catch him there. After a while, he heard, "I can't smell it anymore,"

"I can't hear it anymore, either," the elder looked confused. "Well, Natalia, we must go now. We should be sleeping."

'Natalia' protested, forcing her sister to drag her out of there.

"Goodbye, little brother~!" She called to Ivan, as if he'd hear him.

"I'll be back for you, big brother!" The other called. So, with that, they were gone.

Yao, seeing that they've left, hesitantly got down the tree. When he got down, he lied on the ground.

'That was horrifying,' he thought, remembering the glare of the shorter girl.

"That was a close one, wasn't it?" An unfamiliar voice asked. Startled, Yao shot up to a sitting position.

"Who said that?" He looked around.

"I did," Then, out from behind the tree he hid in came was a green sparkle. Yao squinted his eyes at it.

"Talking sparkles...?" He asked himself. The sparkle giggled. It flew over to him.

When it was close, Yao saw that it was a fairy. He had always thought they were make believe and he stared at it with wide eyes.

This fairy had green wings, and green eyes. The fairy was female, and she had long, wavy, brown hair. She wore a green leaf dress and she smiled at him.

"My name is Elizabeta," she greeted. "I am a woodland fairy."

"Um... Hello...?" He really didn't know how to respond to that.

She giggled. "Oh, you're so cute!" She flew around him. "It's so nice that Ivan gets to spend time with you!"

Yao was weirded out. "R-Right, aru.."

She stopped encircling him and held his pinky in her tiny hands. "What are your feelings for him?"

"He's my best friend," he responded without even thinking.

"No no no," she had this determined and excited look in her eye. "I mean do you love him?"

"Well, if I didn't love him, we wouldn't be friends, right?" Yao responded cluelessly.

She gave him an 'oh my God, are you really this dense' look. She lets go of his pinky and sighs. "Never mind."

Yao was confused, but didn't bother asking what she meant. He yawned, still sleepy. "Well, I'm going back to sleep now, aru. Have a good night." He got up and went back to his wolf friend, got cozy and went back to sleep.

Elizabeta flew over there, watching them all cute and bundled up. She had a mischievous look on her face. "I swear, I'll get these two together, in the name of this unusual love. But for now, I'll leave these two alone, heheh." And so, she flew back to wherever the fairies dwell, thinking of certain scenarios on her way there.
