  After you had finished disinfecting Arthur's room, you went downstairs to check on him. The soft snores from the couch made you smile as you approached. He was asleep, with about 5 blankets piled on him and an empty bowl that once held ramen on the floor. You took the bowl silently and went to put it in the dishwasher. Arthur still hadn't woken up when you came back. Not wanting to disturb him, you retreated upstairs to your room for a much needed break.

  Sebastian sat in his case in the corner of your room. You smiled to yourself and closed the door behind you before going over and taking the ukulele out of the case. After making sure it was tuned, you strummed some basic chords as you rested your back against the wall. The familiar sound relaxed you. Forgetting about your sleeping dad downstairs, you began to strum the tune of a familiar song and ever so quietly began to sing.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"I was scared of dentists and the dark,
I was scared of pretty girls and starting conversations..."
The soft voice from upstairs woke Arthur from his light nap. He blinked his tired eyes and looked around for the source of the sound. Where was (y/n)? As the music continued, he sat up abruptly and strained his ears.
"Ooh,
Oooh, and they come unstuck
Lady, running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you
When you're singing that song
and
I gotta lump in my throat
'Cause you're gonna sing the words wrong..."
 Arthur rubbed an eye and smiled. He loved the sound of your ukulele, but he had never heard you sing before. Your voice was beautiful. The Brit closed his eyes and listened some more.
"..This cowboy's running from himself
And she's been living on the highest shelf
Ooh,
Oooh, and they come unstuck
Lady, Running down to the riptide
Taken away to the dark side
I wanna be your left hand man
I love you
When you're singing that song
and
I gotta lump in my throat
'Cause you're gonna sing the words wrong
"I just wanna, I just wanna know
If you're gonna, if you're gonna stay
I just gotta, I just gotta know
I can't have it, I can't have it any other way
I swear she's destined for the screen
Closest thing to Michelle Pfeiffer that you've ever seen, oh..."
Your dad continued to listen happily until you finished, giving a final dramatic strum from Sebastian. You then put your ukulele away, unaware that Arthur had been listening the entire time. He heard your quiet footsteps and quickly closed his eyes in fake slumber.
~~~~~~~~~~

You tiptoed down the stairs after putting Sebastian away to check on your dad. He was still asleep, thankfully. You smiled and went to get more medicine for him along with a glass of water. When you returned, Arthur was awake and staring at the ceiling."Good morning. Are you feeling better?" You smiled, and he turned his head to look at you with tired eyes. "Yeah, a little. Thank you for the ramen..." He said as he took the medicine and water from you. You took the empty glass and put it in the sink. "Do you need anything?" You asked as you came back.

"I need you to watch a movie with me." Arthur grinned. You laughed and grabbed the remote for the DVD player. "Of course."

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
  About halfway through the movie, you heard the wind howling through the trees outside. Arthur looked out the window with concern. "I hope it doesn't storm..." He said quietly. Arthur was wrong, however. Not long after the wind picked up you and him could hear the rain beat against the apartment violently. You looked over to your dad to find him clutching his mountain of blankets and looking somewhat frightened. "Are you okay, dad?" You asked, narrowing your eyes in concern. He looked over to you tensely. "I... I don't care for thunderstorms much." Arthur said as the thunder boomed overhead. He visibly flinched, and you wished you could go hug him without getting sick yourself. "Ah." You said sympathetically, "Do you want more blankets? Or another pillow?"
  "...Yes, please." Arthur mumbled, curling up under the blankets so only his nose and eyes poked out. You got up silently and grabbed some more blankets from the closet along with a pillow. When you got back you draped the blankets over the lump in the blankets and handed him the pillow. Arthur took it and hugged it under his blanket nest. "I'm sorry..." You said sadly. You didn't like seeing Arthur sad."Don't be." He said, giving you a weak smile from within the blanket void, "I'll be okay."
  "Would you like some more ramen?" You asked gently. Arthur narrowed his brows in consideration. A clap of thunder sounded and the blankets shuddered. "Y-Yeah." He said quietly, returning his attention to the movie still playing on the T.V.. You nodded and went to boil some water.
Hey guys! Sorry this chapter is kind of short, but with how long the last one was it kind of evens out. I'm glad i've gotten to give you two chapters so soon! I didn't think i'd be able to. I've found eliminating the "I'll do this work at home instead of now" mindset gives me so much more freedom to do things like write. Anywho, you know i love you guys, and don't forget to comment and vote! Asta la Pasta~
