Vienna pats the bottom of the cigarette carton, watching the clouds move slowly across the ombre sky. Calum flicks the lighter on and off, watching the sparks. Luke shudders every time a gust of wind hits him, blowing warm air into his chilled hands.
She didn't feel like smoking, but she did feel like standing outside in the cold so her body would get numb, making her want a cigarette so that her body would feel something again.
Calum wanted to smoke to forget while Luke wanted to smoke to remember.

Vienna lets the notebook paper fall onto the counter top, running her thin fingers through her freshly washed hair. Calum was cooking dinner while Luke was lounging on the leather couch that Vienna purchased a couple days ago.
She didn't understand why Michael couldn't come anytime sooner, but didn't think much of it since she would be seeing him soon.
Knowing that Michael felt the same for her as she felt for him still was a relief. She was desperately in love with the man that took her heart and ripped it out, leaving her alone with pieces that she didn't know how to put back together.
Michael was desperately in love with the girl that had created the reason for him to leave. He didn't want her to know his little secret. He wanted to leave and let her find someone else who wouldn't leave her like he did.
He felt pathetic, but he couldn't stay away. She was his everything. Vienna meant so much to Michael. More than she'd ever know. He wanted to spoil her and watch her grow old, but now he wouldn't be able to the way he planned.
Vienna was going to find out something that was going to destroy her. She was going to blame herself.
Luke and Calum would blame each other. Everyone would start fighting, or they would just move on with their lives like nothing ever happened.
Though, they would never do that.
They'd be depressed and wish that they could have prevented his problem. It's too late to think about that now.
There's nothing that can stop it.
