Michael rested his chin on the top of her head, letting the pads of his fingers run along her warm skin. Vienna placed her cheek on his bare chest, feeling his heart beat against her skin. She missed feeling his heart race, knowing that she was the reason for it made her cheeks darken.

"Why'd you leave me, Michael?" Vienna questioned, tracing little figures into his milky skin. He wrapped his arms tightly around her, placing a quick kiss onto her forehead.

"Everything's perfect right now. Can we not ruin it?" Michael asked. Vienna wanted to know. She didn't want to wait. Vienna thought that if she didn't find out now, she might not find out at all.

"Please." Vienna whispered, kissing his collar bone. Michael hummed, wanting to feel her lips against his again, but decided against it. He would finally tell her.

"Over the past five years of being friends with Calum and Luke, I had been stuck with them smoking around me." Michael said. "We'd been around each other so often that I had inhaled so much smoke, but not just from them, but from you also." Vienna was slightly confused on what he was going on about, but listened anyways with her fingers in his thin hair.

"Over those years of inhaling the cancerous toxins, I was diagnosed a week before I came out and told you I was in love with you." Michael mumbled. "I have lung cancer, Vienna." He whispered into the air.

Vienna stilled, gripping onto his forearm. She couldn't breathe correctly. Her heart was breaking into millions of pieces. It was like the day Michael left all over again, but ten times worse.

Vienna couldn't believe that the love of her life was going through so much pain. She couldn't believe that he kept this a secret from her. All she wanted was to hold him tight for the rest of her life, but now she wouldn't be able to. She was willing to give up Luke for Michael. She was willing to do anything to keep him.

"I'm sorry." Vienna whispered into the crook of his neck. "I'm so fucking sorry." She repeated a couple more times.

Michaels heart was pounding in his chest. He hated seeing Vienna in pain. He wanted to have things go back to normal. Michael wanted to marry her and spend the rest of his life with her, but he wouldn't be able to spend hardly any time with her now.

"Don't apologize." Michael said, lifting her chin up so that her eyes met his. "Just promise me that you won't ever forget about me when I'm gone. That you'll love me forever. Even if you're with someone else." He whispered, feeling the tears prick his dull eyes.

"I could never love anybody more than I love you, Michael." Vienna cried. "You'll always be my forever."

"And you'll always be mine."
