After we finished up at the bowling alley we continued to walk around town for a little bit. Everyone ended up scattering and right now its just me and Luke walking with no destination. It was a comfortable silence until Luke spoke up.

"Can I show you something?"

I was slightly worried (as I always am) but I was also curious so I looked a him with my eyebrows raised and said okay.

He smiled so big, a smile that I had grown used to seeing. And a smile I couldn't get enough of. He grabbed my hand and started walking slightly faster. I kept asking where we were going but he just continued smiling with no words escaping his lips. I gave up trying to find out, until we started passing old abandoned houses and growing closer and closer to the edge of town.

"Luke this kinda seems like the place a murder is committed... Where are you taking me?"

"It's a surprise, You'll like it. I promise."

I decided again to shut my mouth. We finished passing the sketchy part of town and the sun was beginning to set.

Suddenly, Luke stopped.

"We're here" he said gleefully, honestly it didn't look like much. It was nothing extraordinarily beautiful but how happy it made him look, made it the most amazing place on Earth.

He had taken me to a clearing with nothing but a fairly large willow tree. That's all it was. A tree. But it was beautiful. Luke rushed and sat down underneath it's branches and urged me to come sit with him.

"I know its not amazing but, I found it one day when I was wondering around and I thought the sunset looked really nice from under it"

I smiled at him, he was a dork but he made me feel so safe. I chose not the say anything after he explained it and instead I sat and watched the sunset.
After a few minutes, I felt his eyes on me and I started to blush. I didn't know what was going through his head but I knew what was going through mine.

Here I was sitting with the most amazing guy I've ever met and I know we've only known each other a short amount of time but I wouldn't want to be anywhere, besides with him. Of course I could never be 'with him' it wouldn't work and he wouldn't want it to. He deserved someone normal, not that I even had feelings for him yet but... Its easier to shut it down before it even starts.

Luke's p.o.v

I'm so glad I took her here. I knew she could tell I was looking at her because her cheeks turned slightly pink. I didn't know what was going through her head but I knew what was going through mine.

She was beautiful, absolutely breath taking. The setting sun somehow turned her hair this golden brown and her eyes shone especially bright, she looked content. I wouldn't say happy. I don't know how long it will be until she is happy at all but for now, she looks content. And that's all I can hope for.
