*prom is no longer in the book so briefly read these first few chapters to get a gist of this book*
It's prom in 2 weeks and I still don't have a date I was thinking about going with friends but it the last time I'll see them for a long time.
I was to talking to my best friend Katie, we've been planning prom since we were so young, we use to try on my sisters old prom dresses and pretend we were 'Prom queens'.
"Do you think James will ask me?" Katie sighed.
"I'm sure he will, if he doesn't then he's missing out!" I laughed trying to brighten up the mood.
"I guess so" Katie muffled under her breathe.
I've been dating Jai for more than a year now and he still hasn't asked me to prom...Katie always tells me that he's waiting for the right time to reassure me that he will.
Katie and I meet up the next day to go dress shopping.
"We've been here for over an hour should we leave?" I call to Katie who's on the other side of the railing to me.
"I know one more shop down the road, if we don't find any in there we can go home" replied Katie.
I feel the buzz of my phone In my pocket... It's Jai
From Jai:
Meet me at Jahoo alley. ASAP X
To Jai:
I'm with Katie? X
From Jai:
Bring her with you I'm with James too. X
To Jai:
Okay see in you in 5. X
I pull Katie by the arm,
"Follow my car!" I said to her with excitement.
"Where are we going?" Katie questioned with a puzzled look on her face.
"Jahoo alley, Jai and James are waiting for us!" I scream from my car window.
We arrived at the alley... The boys weren't in sight, I paused and waited for Katie to come to my car. I step out of the car looking at Katie who has the exact same questioned look on her face.
We started to to walk down the alley and I felt Jai grab my waist wrapping a blind fold around my eyes.
He whispered something in my ear but I couldn't make out what he said. He takes me by the hand and is leading me to the bottom of the alley we come to a sudden stop, I have Jai in one hand and Katie in the other, they tell us to take our blind folds off.
As my eyes adjusted to the light I see Jai and James hold up two signs with the words "Prom?"
I looked over at Katie with the biggest smile on her face. I ran over to Jai and jumped into his arms wrapping my legs around my waist, he spun me round then I placed my feet back on the ground.
"Yes!" I cried, tears rolling down the apples of my cheeks.
Jai wiped the tears with the side of his thumb pulling my face into a kiss.
