A birthday wish

The next days went as far as i could recall . 19 was moving forward to be a part of my identity for the next year . I felt the lately closed hole inside my chest grew wide again . I missed Mia when i woke up one year older , a life changing year and almost 365 decisions .
It was Joe's message that i first read after stepping out of the shower .
( Happy birthday old lady , i love you . )
I grinned like a stupid clown in the middle of an embarrassing show .
I was putting on my jeans when i got lilly's message .
( First birthday wish came true , they called the day off ) .

Now this is good news , i said to myself while putting on the rest of my clothes . I made the first step at stairs when i heard my whole family wishing me happy birthday and singing out loud with a vanilla cake in their hands , my all time favourite . It's just perfect spending the morning of your new year with your family . I wished so many things but at the end i just wished they will be here forever . 

I decided on visiting Venus with Lilly in order to get what Mia's put there before she left us for good . We met at the big front door of the mall , she was holding a present bag and waving it in the air for me to see it . I was so happy . Lately Lilly became my heart sister , she was very different from Mia but somehow she filled the blank space in my days . I didn't tell her about the letters but i told her that my ant left me something in " Venus " . 

" Hello , miss birthday . "

" Come on Lilly , you are making a scene . "

" So what , IT'S HER BIRTHDAAAAY . " 

An old couple looked at us in a disappointed way , i felt embarrassed but also good . I mean it was youth and i was gaining it once again . 

We headed to Venus in a hurry since i had only a few hours before my night date with Joe , and  i should be able to open his mother's gift before our meeting because he will surely ask me about it , and i don't want to make it look like it means nothing to me , because truely it means a lot . 

As we made our way into Venus big hot pink door , i was reminding myself of all the times when Mia wanted to drag me over here , but i was  strong-headed and i kept refusing her offer . Now, she is bossing me around and i have to accept all what she is saying . This way i could pay her noble soul the right prise since i cannot pay more . 

A small red bag with a note is what i got from that shop . I decided to open it once i am home along with others . We stopped by burger king to have a bite , i was really enjoying my time . Lilly was telling me about her relationship with Sam and how they were perfect for each other . She was so sure that they will work out , i can not blame her . After only two months , Joe and I was obviously for life .

I got back home at six . I made my way quickly upstairs to my room . Joe was going to be there in an hour . I took my shower quickly , then i was out to discover the hot bag from Venus . Of course it was a black small underwear along with a weired see through bra . How could people put on this things ? Anyway , I try them on and i felt sexy , Mia won over me again . I wore the midnight blue short dress Lilly brought me today , a flash of make up and the amazing neckless i found in Joe mother 's gift box .

I made a virtual note to thank her personally . One glance at the mirror and i was perfectly ready to the first night as a 19 years old , but i remembered Mia's not . I cut it open in a second , ( BE SEXY ) . I laughed on my way down .

" Good evening baby . " He said as he opened the passager seat's door for me .

" A gentel man today Roberts ? " I said laughing .

" I thought i was going to escape your sarcasm tonight Miles ." 

" You are dead wrong sweetheart . " I put a kiss on his lips , they tasted carmalised sugar . 

He took me on the top of a building , one table and two chairs . What i lived that night was beyond romance . It was reality , my reality . Joe was mine , i was his and no one could step between us . He gave me the chance to breath and i loved that about us . A serene relation where we are united by heart , where our souls are not one , but two . Two souls in love . The universe danced around us , and I have never loved Now York like that night . 

I was not sleeping in lilly's , but with Joe . My mother knew it , it was obvious like the daylight . She was concerned but happy for me . Mia's voice crossed my mind , she was saying " One year older , one year bolder . " I felt her presence and i laughed . That night was the first time i meet friday night . 

I was playing with Joe's hair , while putting breakfast on the bed . He woke up opening his left eye first , smiled then opened both eyes . He kissed the palm of my hand , rolled the sleeves of his white shirt that i was wearing and he kissed my forearm . 

" I should've prepared breakfast it's your birthday after all . " His morning deep voice sent tickles all over my body .

" It was yesterday , so i guess it's fine . "

 He bit his lip then he took a sip from the orange juice . " I was thinking about us , while you were sleeping . "

Oh my God , is this break up ? I can not handle this , i was preparing my replay when he said : " It's only one month and i will move to chicago . "

" What ? Why ? Are you breaking up with me ? "

" No , No baby I am not , but it's my last semester and i should take care of family business sooner or later . "

I was about to talk once again when he got up wearing only his boxer , he came in front of me pulling out a small golden box from under the bed . Surprise slaped me across the face when he knelt on one knee saying : " What a special morining , blue sky in the middle of november . I have faith you can make it even better . All my mornings will be sunny if you only you will here for life . Serena will you marry me ? "

I was in tears , I thought it was over and i hated myself for thinking about it . 

" If i say yes , what will you do ?"

" I guess we will be flying to chicago ? "

" Oh , so bad i hate planes . "

" Okay , we will walk ."

" I love you Joe ."

" So it's a yes ?"

" Yes ."

The time stopped , it was the caramel taste again . It was not so soon to be engaged , it was the right time . I followed my heart and he was a great leader . I saw Mia when i closed my eyes , she was there in my heart . I looked down at my hand , in a flower shape my beautiful ring curled around my finger , it made me feel warm .
