Each day is the same. Ron and I will listen to the list of dead and missing. Ron ignores the others and I just do whatever.
I finally was trusted to hold onto the horcrux after Harry had another freak out. And I did say another freak out. It was the third.
I don't see what the problem is. I'm not angrier than usual and it's not too heavy. Maybe it's because he is somehow connected to Voldemort. It doesn't count if I'm thinking the name.
"This is it," Hermione shrieks. It's already dark outside and I was half asleep. "The Sword of Godric Gryffindor absorbs materials. So it has baskalist venom. The way to destroy it."
"That makes sense," I state. "Since Harry did destroy the journal with a baskalist fang."
They look at me.
"What?" I ask. "Because I'm the youngest I shouldn't know as much?"
"No one ever said that," Hermione gasps.
"But that's how it feels. Like I'm stuck in a plastic bubble."
"I'm sorry, C," Harry tells me.
"Are you, Harry? It maybe hard being you, but it is extremely hard being me. Each day I have to worry about so many people. And I have no clue how to contact them."
"I get it."
"You don't. I have no way of being there when my brother or sister is born."
"Tonks is pregnant?" Hermione asks. I start packing up my stuff.
"Yeah. Not you would..."
"Give me the locket," Harry orders. "It's messing up your brain."
"Fine," I snap. I pull it off and toss it at them. I grab my bag and run out. Ron tries to stop me, but I ignore him. I whistle and Fawkes lands on my shoulder.
The moment his talons touch me, I appear in a house that looks abandoned. I pull out my wand and use it to light the place up.
"Where did you take me?" I ask my Phoenix.
"Whose there?" I hear. I turn and see an extremely tired George. I break into a smile.
"Fred," he calls. "You need to see something."
"Can't it wait till morning?" A tired Fred shouts back. I shake my head.
"Nope."
I hear Fred's feet hit the ground as he come downstairs. He stops when he sees me and rub his eyes to see if I'm real.
"C?" He asks. I nod my head. "What happened the night before the wedding?"
I notice George is getting uncomfortable.
"It's not what you think," I promise. "I had a nightmare and Fred and I just talked. Just to prove it better, Arnold was by my foot when I entered."
Fred starts smiling and we run into each other's arms.
"I missed you," he whispers in my ear.
"How did you get here?" George asks. I pull away from Fred and point at Fawkes.
"Where is here?" I ask.
"A small house in the country," Fred tells me.
"A base for the Order," George finishes. I nod my head and all three of us yawn. George waves and go back upstairs.
Fred picks me up bridal style and I don't argue. He carries me into a bedroom and lay me down. He lays next to me and we fall asleep.
