Chapter 18:
Real
(Hotch's Point Of View)
I blink my eyes slowly and smile, I finally feel rested and I put in in the back of my mind to thank her later. When I woke up there was JJ, her hair straight, and she was already dressed. She smiled and stuck two pills in my hand. I swallowed them and she handed me water. When I finished I just stares at her face till she started blushing.
"How'd you convince Strauss to let you be the first to see me in the morning?" I grinned at her.
"She went to get stuff for breakfast, so, I said I'd wake you up." she sat on the side of the bed.
"You stayed?" I asked grinning at her.
She nodded "I fell asleep on the couch, she didn't wake me up."
"oh"
"But I'm glad I didn't leave..." she leaned in again and I leaned back.
"JJ... Are you sure you want this?"
"Want what?" she looked a little hurt.
"To have this kind of relationship."
"I... Aaron... I thought you liked me..." she seemed really hurt.
"JJ, I had feelings for Lizzy, but since she's gone, I don't feel that same thing I felt. When we kissed... I told you JJ that was feelings. You care about me to stay here. You brought me here, you cared about me in Nevada. JJ I don't want anyone else but you." she blushed and I'm sure my face Was red to.
"Come here."
She put her arms around me. I smelled her perfume. Her shampoo. A small smile slowly spread across my face and she pulled back. She looked at me then kissed my cheek. She blushed again. She looked at me. "Now get dressed." she smiled and left the room. Suddenly my heart wasn't torn anymore because I know wherever JJ goes, I'm going with her. Maybe JJ's my what they call soulmate. I don't know but I know she makes my heart Race.
(JJ's Point Of View)
I was skipping through the house when Strauss walked in. I stopped in my tracks and felt my face get very hot.
"What are you so happy about?" Strauss had a sly grin on her face which made me look down at my feet.
"Oh nothing, you'll have to ask Aaron." I said slyly.
"Ah were playing the ask Aaron game are we?" she looked at me her grin wider than before.
"Maybe since you won't tell me why you forgave him I won't tell you what just happened while you were gone." her eyes grew wide then I truly did blush and she laughed.
"I don't want to know what you lovebirds were talking about." she said amused.
I just smirked a little because I knew she really wanted to know what was happening with me and Aaron, but I wasn't going to tell her unless she told me what secrets were hiding in those files he gave her, and, what he'd said thank you about last night. I watched her cook, the way her hands moved. She looked like shed cook a long time.
"When you were younger, did you want to work for the FBI?"
She laughed flipping something in a frying pan. "God no!"
"Hm."
"Is this what you wanted JJ?"
"I don't know."
"It's not the best job when you see people die." her voice went stern. "I'm sure you know the feeling."
"It gets to you." I replied honestly.
