Chapter 10:
Secrecy
(Hotch's Point Of View)
I couldn't sleep, so I opened up my eyes, it was dark outside, but the sun was rising. I hadn't asked Strauss where we were going, but she seemed tired so I sat there. She woke up, blinked a couple times.
"Morning."
"Morning." I replied.
"Were going to a house, I don't know where, but were landing soon." she said arms crossed.
I nodded and slid the letter out of my back pocket, setting it in the front.
"What's that."
"Nothing. It's nothing." I replied.
"Guess I can't blame you I didn't show you the file." there was a small smile on her lips.

1 hour later
(Hotch's Point Of View)
We pulled up to a by house in a small little gates neighborhood. I opened my eyes wide.
"This is nice."
We came in four separate cars. I was in the car with Strauss Jack and Reid. Derek had insisted on going with the girls, so Lizzy, JJ and Garcia were in the second ca with him. Rossi was in a car with two of our guards coming to stay with us. The drivers of all of our cars were also part of an elite force of law.
The fourth car included El and Blake, and god knows what was happening in that car. Blake was probably being a flirt, but he's changed recently, I think because he's got a huge crush on El. Poor her. But then again, she seemed happy with him, so I won't spoil there fun, unless Strauss does. But... She's changed to.
We all came at separate times to ensure that we weren't followed. We went in the back door, Reid first.
"Wow." Reid contemplated everything in that room.
"A piano." Reid said.
"There's 6 rooms, three upstairs and three down here. There's a Pool in the porch area, and downstairs there is a back exit. In case." one of our guards said to us.
We waited for the team to get there, I watched Reid playing a song on the piano. It was that song that little boy played for him. I remember that kid... That case.
The team got there and we picked rooms. Derek and Garcia bunked together. El and Blake did to. Rossi took his own room, as did JJ. Jack and Lizzy were together, and I gave Strauss the last room. I had the couch.
We ordered pizza that night, or at least we made our guards go get it. It was good, and that night we were all smiling and laughing, and it felt good for all of us to be together as a team, and for a moment I wasn't worried.
That night, everyone went to bed. Except me. I stayed up that night and read over that letter at least 30 times. It was 2am and I wasn't tired. I tried to sleep but couldn't keep my eyes closed. I jumped out of bed again and read over that letter another 50 times until i finally knew every word by heart.
I bet you hate me now.
It was you or my badge.
I was 22.
Love mom.
Every word kept playing in my head. I gulped back a tear. I do hate her for what she did. I did... I was angry.
No I wasn't.
That was the truth.
I didn't hate her.
