"Hiro, I'm pretty sure Fred has enough comic books," you told Hiro as you watched him go through each shelf of comic books, "Have you not seen his entire comic book collection?"

It was Friday afternoon after school had just ended so you and Hiro decided to go to the mall to search for a gift to give to Fred tomorrow.

"You're right. He's probably got every single superhero merchandise ever made," Hiro said as he walked over to a gift card rack, "Why don't we just get him a gift card to Burger Palace Palooza or something?"

"Perfect," you replied as you took one of the Burger Palace Palooza gift cards off the rack, "I can't wait to see him stuff his face with a dozen gourmet burgers after he gets this."

Suddenly as you noticed the gift card rack rotate a little, you noticed a familiar face on the other side. It was none other than Avalyn, the girl Hiro's been nonstop talking about, holding a gift card identical to the one you were holding in your hand.

"Avalyn? I didn't expect to see you here," Hiro said after he noticed Avalyn behind the gift card rack as well.

"Oh, I was just getting a gift for Fred," Avalyn replied as she held up the Burger Palace Palooza gift card in her hand and turned to you, "Looks like you and I are both getting gift cards for all you can eat gourmet burgers!"

"That's pretty cool, I guess."

"Oh, Avalyn, this is (Y/N)," Hiro explained as he took your hand to shake with Avalyn's, "And (Y/N), this is Avalyn."

"Nice to meet you, (Y/N)," Avalyn said with enthusiasm as she gave you a friendly smile and lightly shook your hand, "I guess I should get Fred a different gift card, otherwise, he'll have two of the same gift."

"Y-Yeah, that's a good idea," you managed to say.

You couldn't help but to notice Hiro's description of Avalyn fit her perfectly, making her way better than you and more deserving to go out with Hiro rather than with you.

"Anyway, I better go pay for this and get going. I told my mom I would meet back up with her at Bath & Body Works around this time," Avalyn mentioned as she walked towards the cash register, "See you guys tomorrow at the party!"

"Right back at ya!", Hiro said back as you noticed a hue of red spread across his face, "Well actually kind of since I don't have to meet up with my mom at Bath & Body Works right now, heh."

"Hiro Hamada, you are one heck of a trainwreck," you sarcastically told your best friend as you tried to hold back a laugh, "Just remember my advice tomorrow at the party, okay?"

"Hiro, you look fine."

"Which kind of fine?"

"Ugh, you know what I mean by fine," you told Hiro as he stared down at his own outfit, "You wear the same exact outfit everyday. It's not gonna make any difference today."

"Hey, I'm not wearing the same exact outfit," Hiro corrected you as he pulled down on his plain, light green t-shirt, "I'm wearing a different t-shirt. Duh."

"Well, it's about time you did," you joked, "Now how do I look?"

You were wearing a high-low sheer (F/C) tank top paired with your favorite pair of (F/C) skinny jeans and black combat boots. Your (H/L) (H/C) was in a (F/H), which was the hairstyle you wore almost every single day.

"Same as usual, expect for the boots. I thought you didn't like wearing combat boots."

"Not to school but for partying, oh yeah!"
