"Yeah! And every year they have a showcase!"

"A showcase for what exactly?"

"For inventions, duh," your best friend, Hiro, explained to you, "If they like it, you're in! That's why I need to come up with an idea ASAP."

Hiro Hamada, your best friend, explained to you about the SFIT Annual Showcase, which was the university Hiro really wanted to get into after his older brother, Tadashi, showed him around one time and introduced him to all of his friends that went there. The showcase was being held at San Fransokyo Institute of Technology in a few weeks. Professor Callaghan, one of the professor's from the college, promised the messy-haired boy a full scholarship to SFIT if he liked his invention.

"Woah? A full scholarship?", you said in shock.

"Yup! Professor Callaghan said my age shouldn't be a problem. If I don't get in, I'm gonna lose my mind!", Hiro replied as he placed both of his hands on each side of his messy, black hair, "That's why I need your help to come up with an idea of an invention that will blow Callaghan's mind!"

"Wait, my help?", you questioned, "Hiro, I'm not as smart as you are. I didn't graduate high school at the age of thirteen."

Unlike Hiro, who was so brilliant he got to skip a bunch of grades and start high school at the age of ten, you were just an ordinary fourteen-year-old just starting your freshman year.

"Who cares about that. You're my best friend and I think you're pretty smart," Hiro complemented you as he walked over to his desk to pick up some papers and pencils.

You smiled. Little did the messy-haired boy know you've had a crush on him for as long as you could remember. You adored everything about him from his love for robots, his brilliant intelligence, and the adorable little gap between his two front teeth. You even remembered the day Hiro told you he got the opportunity to go to high school at such a young age, although, the two of you still got to hang out at the Lucky Cat Cafe occasionally.

"Well, why don't you just ask Tadashi for some ideas?", you commented, "I don't think my ideas would be any help anyway."

"You think I've already tried that?," Hiro replied, "All he said was to 'shake things up' and to 'use my big brain of mine' to 'look for a new angle'. He even grabbed me by my legs and literally started shaking me around on his back upside-down, which only made me really dizzy and nauseous. And did that help me think of an idea? No. Besides, how can your ideas be bad if I haven't even heard them yet?"

"Hmm, fine, let me think," you said as you tapped your finger on your chin and began to walk around the room, "I've got nothing."

"No one said this wouldn't take a long time," Hiro joked, "We've got a few more hours. Let's get to it!"

Hours?!, you thought, Ugh, I'm so dumb. Hiro will probably turn down all of my stupid ideas.

Three hours had already passed by and both you and Hiro had absolutely no ideas. Hiro's bedroom floor was filled with crumpled-up paper balls and broken pencils scrambled across it.

"Nothing! No ideas! Useless, empty, brain!", Hiro complained as he banged his head against his desk with each word, "Any luck, (Y/N)?"

"Does twenty-seven crumpled up pieces of paper and two broken pencils count as progress?", you replied as you laid down on Hiro's bed upside-down with your head hanging off the edge of it, "Wait a second."

You noticed Hiro's Megabot---the bot Hiro used for botfights---across the room sitting on a shelve next to his other bots. You stared closely at its black miniature-bot like arms and legs.
