*three weeks later. Uhura is eleven weeks pregnant.*
Alaska McCoy pinned a sign on the outside of her quarters. The sign read Warning: unless you want to deal with an angry pregnant woman, do not knock on door. That was how she was going to tell her husband, or friends. Whichever came first.
Ellie sat on the bed by her mother, trying to comfort her. Alaska had been throwing up all morning, she was actually pretty far along. Already thirteen weeks. It was surprising that Leonard hadn't noticed yet, she already had a bump. There was a couple little complications, so Alaska didn't tell Leonard so he wouldn't be disappointed.
The baby was fine though and so was Alaska. "Mommy has a baby in her tummy." Ellie mumbled, her head on Alaska's stomach. The baby had just started kicking so Ellie would feel it.
"That's right. Remember, no telling daddy until he sees the sign." Alaska told her, rubbing Ellie's back.
"Does the baby hurt?" Ellie asked again, still feeling the kicking.
"Not really, it just feels strange." Alaska told her, still rubbing Ellie's back.
"When I grow up, I want to be a mommy." Ellie said, curling up by Alaska's arms.
"Being a mommy is great." Alaska told her, hugging her tight. A shriek was heard from the hallway. It sounded like Naomi. "Naomi?" Alaska yelled, hoping she was right.
"Alaska!" Naomi yelled, happiness in her voice. Alaska pressed a button on the door and it opened. "Oh my god." Naomi muttered, walking over by Alaska. She pulled her into a hug.
"Is the sign still out there?" Alaska asked, smiling.
"Yeah, congrats!" Naomi yelled, hugging Alaska again.
"Loud." Ellie mumbled, covering her ears.
"Sorry Ellie, I'm just excited." Naomi apologized, still smiling from ear to ear.
"Mommy have baby!" Ellie yelled, even more excited now.
"Remember what I told you?" Alaska asked her. Ellie nodded.
"Don't tell daddy until he sees the sign." Ellie repeated.
"Good." Alaska said, kissing her cheek.
"Bones' off his shift in ten minutes. I'll let you guys be alone." Naomi said, laughing.
About fifteen minutes later, Alaska heard a gasp from the outside of the door. It sounded like Leonard. There was a yell and then a thud. Concerned, Alaska jumped up, startling Ellie. She opened the door and Leonard was laying in the floor.
"Leonard?" Alaska asked, kneeling beside him. "Leonard? Leonard?"
He wasn't waking up. Alaska picked him up at his chest and dragged him into the quarters. Slowly, Leonard woke up. He noticed Alaska and gasped, hugging her right. "You're pregnant?" He gasped again, smiling.
"Yeah." Alaska mumbled, putting his hand on her small baby bump.
"Oh my god." Leonard muttered, hugging Alaska tight.
"Mommy's having a baby!" Ellie yelled again, joining the hug.
"That's right Ellie." Leonard said, smiling even wider.

Naomi was smiling the rest of the day. "Did you hear about Bones and Alaska?" She asked the instant Jim walked in the door, Chris in one arm, Elliot in the other. Malcolm wanted to walk by himself that day.
"No, what happened?" Jim asked, playfully tossing the kids into the bed. He picked up Malcolm and did the same. All three kids giggled and laughed.
"Alaska's pregnant." Naomi told him, still smiling. Elliot and Malcolm sat up, confused. Oblivious, Chris just kept giggling on the bed.
"What's pre-g-nant?" Malcolm asked, sounding out the word.
"It means they are having a baby. Remember when your Mommy had a big tummy and then Chris was born? That's pregnant." Jim tried explaining. Both twins nodded and Chris jerked up at the mention of her name.
"Is Alaska going to have a big tummy?" Elliot asked, suddenly intrigued. If he didn't go into something with construction, he'd be a doctor. Bones wants him to be his apprentice.
"Yes she will." Naomi told him. "And then Ellie will have a baby brother or sister."
"Ohh." Both twins mumbled before going back to bouncing on the bed.
"I has a bwother!" Chris yelled, pointing to the twins. She was starting to say short sentences.
"Yes you do. You have two." Jim told her, picking her up before lightly tossing her on the bed.
"Is mommy going to have another baby?" Malcolm asked. Jim and Naomi stopped smiling.
"Mommy can't have anymore kids." Naomi said, stuttering.
"Why?" Malcolm asked, not noticing the change in his parents.
"Your mommy got hurt, she just can't have kids. Well, she could, but she would be sick during it." Jim explained, picking up Malcolm onto his lap.
"Oh." Malcolm muttered. "Do you love the ones you have?"
Malcolm was asking a lot of questions. "Of course we love the ones we have. You three mean the world to us." Naomi said, hugging him as well as the other two.
"I love our family too." Jim told them, hugging them as well. One big family hug. It was amazing.
