"Dad, can I throw these out?" I asked, pointing to cases and cases of filled bottles of beer.

"Yes." I had a feeling it would help. If there wasn't any beer, then he couldn't drink it.

After throwing it all out, I walked over to my dad with Jason.

"Dad, we're going to go now. Come on." We were going to a rehabilitation place for my dad.

"You definitely want to do this, right?" I asked him when we were in the car. He was sitting next to me in the back as Jason drove. He reached over and took my hand.

"I do, princess." He said and smiled at me.

--Flashback--

"Daddy, wait." My 5 year old eyes were filled with wonder.

"What, honey?" He asked.

"Will you always be my daddy?"

"Of course I'll always be your daddy."

I smiled my missing-toothed smile, and pulled the covers up over my chin.

"Goodnight, princess."

--Flashback over--

"Here we are." Jason said. I was snapped out of my memory and we got out of the car. I walked next to Jason and took his hand.

"You're doing the right thing." He whispered in my ear. "These rehab things always work."

My dad fell in step beside me and I reached over, taking his hand.

"You can do it, dad." I whispered. "I believe in you."

It was amazing that he didn't even remember hurting me. I didn't know that drinking had that much effect on the mind and memory.

"I know that I can do it." He assured me. "But I won't be able to live with what I did to you."

"I forgive you, daddy. As long as you can do this for me."

"I will." He squeezed my hand and the three of us walked into the big building and talked to the lady at the front.

"Dr. Lundrin will be right with you." She said and smiled. "You can have a seat in the waiting room." We took up 3 chairs and waited for the doctor to come.

"Tyler Rosewood?" A man called with the nametag saying 'Dr. Lundrin.'

My dad stood up and we followed along.

"Actually, we don't need you two." He said to Jason and me. "I mean, you're welcome to stay. But we're going to give a lesson about how drinking effects family members and everything. You can stay if you want, but it may get a little boring. The patients will be communicating with each other."

"Okay, we'll leave you to your work."

"You can come back in about 2 hours."

"Okay, thank you." I said as Jason took my hand. We walked out of the building to the car.

"So, what are we doing then?" Jason asked.

"I don't know. What do you want to do?"

"It's up to you." He said. He reached over and took my hand, rubbing the back of it. I smiled at him.

"Let's go to the beach."
