Part 13 - Preparations

-3 months later-

-Eren's PoV-

"Eren c'mon hurry up."
"I'm trying but they won't listen."
"Just hurry up.They should be getting here any moment now."
"Some help would be nice..."
"What was that?"
"Nothing."

- flashback to 1 hour ago -

I woke up to see (F/N) wasn't in bed anymore.Then I heard noises in the living room.Quickly running down the hall I found (F/N) running from the kitchen to the backyard and back.I also saw she was carrying stuff.

"What are you doing...?" I asked as I looked at her running back and forth."

"Eren,stop staring at me like I ate all your cookies,and help me."

"Wha-?"

"Never mind.Go and check on the kids their playing in their room."

"Wait,what's going on?What are you doing?"

"I have to set all this stuff up.Its 2 hours 'till people should start coming."

"Who's coming?And why?"

"Eren,don't you remember?Today's the kids' birthday!"

"Oh,yeah!"

"Yeah and I forgot to set the alarm..."

I slightly chuckled and smiled at her.
"It's fine.I'll help get the kids ready then I'll come back and help you prepare.Okay?"

"Okay,but please Eren,hurry."

"Yeah I'll be fast."

I walked upstairs towards the kids room and slowly opened the door.When I opened it I almost burst out laughing.I saw Saluna forcing Jr. to put on a hat.Everytime Jr. took it off he would throw it across the room and Saluna would stand up,grab it and hand it back to him.It was adorable!

Until Saluna finally got bored and just threw it at his face.The hat hit him on his forehead.I just stood there expecting him to cry,but instead he did something that just made me smile.He laughed.Then he stood up and hugged his sister.When he finally let go he handed her the hat and smiled.

'They're so cute!'

"Hi guys!" I said as I stepped into their room.They ignored me and just kept playing.
"Fine then just ignore me." I said fake pouting.They still ignored me as Saluna went exploring in her toy box and Jr. went to go play with his toy cars.I just turned back around and started searching through their clothes,but every now and then I would hear Jr. making little 'vroom vroom' noises.I would just laugh at how cute they were.

-10 minutes later-

Finally after going through their whole closet,I found them each an outfit to wear that I thought would look adorable.

For Jr. I found some  dark blue jeans jeans and a red button up collared shirt.For Saluna I found a red rose dress .Then I started looking through all their shoes.Right away I saw some red flats with a strap on them so they won't fall off.

'Perfect'

I picked those up and put them with Saluna's dress.Then I went over to Jr.'s shoes,I started looking and couldn't decide on the red and white Jordan's or the regular red converse.Eventually I just decided to ask him.

"Hey bud,whatcha doing?"

"...." He ignored me and continued playing.

"Hey this'll just take a sec.I need you to pick the one's you like?"

"....?" He looked at me confused with his head tilted a bit.

"Which ones do you think look cool?"

"Ooooh" his face lit up once I asked him and he quickly picked the Jordan's.I smile at him.....until he threw the shoe at me.

"....." My face went back and he clapped .I was mad,but I couldn't help but laugh when I heard his sweet,innocent laugh.I turned around to go grab the rest of the outfit,but as soon as I turned around I saw Saluna pouting at me.She looked mad and her glare looked scary for a 1 year old.

'Just like (F/N)'

I smiled at her.

"What's wrong,baby girl?"
She pouted again and pointed at the outfit.

"What?"

She sighed and walked toward the clothing.She held up the dress and said "No" and threw it back on the bed.

I frowned remembering she didn't like dresses.

"C'mon,baby girl,jut this once.Please it's for a special occasion."
All she did was huff and turn around.I sighed and walked towards her.
"Please,Saluna,it's jut for today.Then tomorrow you can wear your favorite pajamas.Also your mom and grandma are gonna be sooooo proud."

"Hmm?" She tilted her head in curiosity.

"Yeah grandma's gonna be their!"

"Uncle?"

"What?Oh yeah your uncle Levi's gonna be there.Don't you want to see him?"
She nodded her head enthusiastically.I have no idea why but Levi somehow became her favorite uncle.Everytime we would go somewhere she would always ask "Uncle?" And we knew she was asking for Levi.They just had some kind of special connection.While Jr. Loved hanging out with horsefa- I mean Jean.But when Jr. wanted to talk he would go to Armin.I think that has something to do with Armin talking to him a lot when he was a newborn,but still I'm not sure.Jr. Wouldn't really talk to Levi,an when Levi would try Jr. Would ignore him and act as if he couldn't hear him.I guess he didn't really like him?

"Ok,but if you put this on first,okay?"

She thought for a second and said "okay,but first....tag!You're it!" She said as she pushed me and ran.Since I was squating I easily fell back on my back,and all I heard was the sound of her feet running downstairs.

I got up and ran after her.I heard small footsteps running behind me.I ran downstairs and starting looking for her.Then I heard (F/N)'s voice behind me.

"Eren you're not done yet!?"

"I know,I know.I'm sorry but I couldn't decide what clothes and I had to convince them and-"

"C'mon Eren just hurry up"

"That's what I'm trying to do but they don't listen."

"Just hurry"

-5 minutes later-
~ (F/N)'s PoV ~
"Hey have you started changing them yet?"
I walked into the living room and saw Eren struggling to take off Jr.'s shirt while him and Saluna were having the time of their life.

I looked at Saluna and saw her laughing while hitting her belly.

"At least he got her shirt off..." I muttered.I looked back at Eren.

"Hey....Eren!"

"What...?" He said still trying to take his shirt off.

"It's fine I'll change them." I said grabbing Eren's hand.

"No I can do this." He said determined.

"No I need you to do something else,okay?"

"What?"

"I need you to call everyone and ask if they'll be coming.Okay?"

"Okay." He said slowly getting up and heading to the backyard and pulling out his phone.

I sighed."okay...I can do this." I said as I walked toward Saluna first.Cracking my fingers before starting the hardest job that ever existed;Parenting.
