Part 30 Is In The Past?

*(F/n)'s PoV*

What are we going to do? If Eren loses his job then we'll be completely broke. We do have savings,but one us will need to get a job soon...really soon. I don't understand though...he was doing so well...he even got a raise! For him to get a warning of getting fired would only mean he did something horrible. What could be so bad?

I had no idea why I was crying,but I felt something bad was happening.

"Did something bad happen? What did you do?" I asked him worried wiping my face.

"Nothing! Some rumours happened around,and they told me I might get fired."

"Rumours? They're just rumours? Why are you believing that?"

"I don't know. I know it sounds stupid,but I feel like it's true."

I knew that feeling. The gut feeling you get when you're right or something's wrong. You just feel like you have to trust it sometimes,and right now I was feeling it. It seemed like it was bad. Something's wrong,but could it be about this? I had no idea,but this seems like the only reason why I would feel like this.

"Okay. Then do anything you can to keep that job."

He looked up from where his face was buried in his hands. "Anything? Are you sure?"

"Yeah...I mean it pays really well. As long as you can try and convince them to let you say."

Are we just worked up over nothing? Rumours he said...but are they really? Is he even telling the truth? Right now I don't know so I'll trust him. That's all I can do...

*Jr's PoV*

I was at school - obviously - and again Daxton walked up to me. Those light gray orbs sparked in the sun always reminding me of Levi. I haven't seen him in a while. He didn't go to my birthday party yesterday neither did grandma or grandpa. I wonder if they're okay...I hope they're fine. Saluna didn't mind though. I don't even think she noticed they weren't there. Mikasa and Armin went on vacation,at least that's what mom said. I think they like each other a lot to be gone for nearly 6 years and not phoning family once.

"How are you?" again the same question as usual.

"Fine." again the same answer as usual.

I stood there expecting him to walk away like he usually did,but he didn't. "Who's that?" He pointed at Cadence who was following me.

"A friend...?" I raised an eyebrow barely noticing Ken was next to him.

'Was he always there?'

"A friend since when?" he asked actually sounding curious.

"He's new,and became my friend when he moved."

"Are you sure he's your friend?" Ken walked towards Cadence.

I stepped in front of him,and he looked confused. Ken might not be doing anything know,but everything he does is way too aggressive.

"Yes he's my friend!"

I looked at Daxton asking for help. He didn't say anything. So I looked back up at Ken.

"Since when do you care!? You're just a bully."

He pulled my head up by my hair. "Shut-up kid. I'm doing what I was told to." He walked to Cadence. "You kid get out of here! Go away you filthy white rat before I snap you in half!" He shouted in his face.

Cadence stood there twitching. It looked weird as he didn't even look at Ken. He walked to me extending his hand for me to grab,and so I did. He pulled me up feeling stronger than he looks and nudged me forward to walk. Ken and Daxton stared at us not expecting Cadence to pull that bold move.

"Where are you going?" Daxton screamed towards us.

Cadence turned and just waved to them.

"That was cool Caden!" I told him with a smile.

He still seemed to be slightly twitching he didn't smile,but a quick hushed "Thanks." was still audible.

We walked to class since apparently we were lucky enough to get our class together,but Emerson and Saluna weren't. Emerson was with me,and Cadence - Saluna and Raider were in another class and Mabel had a class alone. Unless you wanted to count Josh and Daxton who were in her class while Ken was in Saluna's. I felt lucky having a class with the guys only and none that I didn't like.

*Cadence's PoV*

I hate this class.It's boring.

That encounter with those kids was more exciting although not as dangerous as I thought it would get though.

I'm hungry.

I guess that was good since I haven't had good sleep lately.

I'm thirsty.

They seem really stupid. They might be strong,but they also need to turn on their brains.

I hope this class ends soon.

What about their agility too. Even if I'm somehow wrong,and they're by a 3% chance actually smart they're still not agile.

Yes. Bell rings.

Jr seems really nice though. I like following him because he seems interesting and nice. He doesn't say stuff like go away or what are you staring at.

Jr dropped some stuff. I'll help!

He doesn't call me a freak or weirdo when I twitch either. Most kids would be scared of my twitching,and hate me for it.

Jr sits on the bench and I sit with him.

He talks to me and I talk to him too. Although I don't think he hears me because he doesn't respond. I don't mind.

Jr asks me if I'm his friend.

Jr called me his friend and I didn't say anything. At least he didn't hear anything.

I nod at the question and twitch. He smiles
