Part 19 Family,Friends,Park,and Bullies

You and Saluna had just picked up Jr and were heading toward Eren's work to pick him up,too. He sent you a message saying that he managed to get out an hour early.

"So,how was school?" you asked him peeking over through the rear view mirror to look at him. 

"Um,it was good I guess." he said shrugging his shoulders and looking back at you with a smile.

"You guess? Why do you 'guess'? Did you make any friends?"

"No...oh wait I did,but only one."

"Well one's better than any,right? What's his name?"

"It was a girl,and her name's Mina."

"A girl? That's good as long as you're happy. Are your friends from preschool there,too?"

"Yeah,but they're stupid!"

"Stupid? Why?"

"Because...they're mean." he pouted and looked away.

"Did they do something? Why are you saying that?"

"Well no,but...they took my crayons and ripped my paper."

"Why? Did you do something to them? Maybe it was an accident."

"I don't know,and I didn't do anything to them!"

"Well did you say anything to them before that?"

"I said 'hi,Josh.' and he ignored me so I called him stupid."

"Well that's why he was being mean. What else happened and was there anyone else?."

"It was him,Lara,Claude,and Ken. I didn't know the other girl or guy. He said that I was the stupid one,and he walked away. Ken and Claude followed,but Lara went to play with the other two. I grabbed his shirt and stopped him,but he pushed me,and I fell. I got up and asked him why he was being mean but he ignored me,again. So I punched him."

"Why would you punch him!?" you were trying to hold in your laughter while Saluna was already laughing.

"I was mad! I invited him to play trucks afterwards,but he would walk away! Then at the end of the day him and Claude ripped my picture and took my crayons!"

"Eren,you can't just punch a kid. I know you might be mad,but that's not right. Okay?"

"...Okay."

"Your sister is going to school tomorrow with you so you'll have more friends,and if anything happens just tell your sister,okay?"

"Okay,but why do I have to tell her?"

"Because she can protect you if you need help."

"I don't need protection!"

"No I said she can help you."

"Well I don't need any help!" he huffed and looked away.

You were about to say something,but when you looked in the rear view mirror you just smiled to yourself and looked away. Saluna put her hand on top of his and he stared at her in shock,but more in confusion while Saluna just looked out the window.

'Saluna might seem cold and emotionless to others,but she is actually really kind and loves to smile around people she trusts. I guess being around Levi a lot really affected her. Oooo I wonder if she'll get superhuman strength like the Ackermans,too! That would be cool!'

Focusing back on reality I took out my phone and texted Eren saying that I was outside waiting,and within 2 minutes of it being sent he was already running outside with a huge smile on his face.
