Beginning of chapter 3
The Chosen One
As we departed from the cosmodrome which now I understood was Russia, I look back to find the Fallen still shooting at us. "Wow, what a bunch of bozos." Says Apex. "Um, why are we not in hyper speed yet?" Asks Ghost. "Well buddy, its because I don't have a hyper drive, so therefore I can't go any faster." Apex says with an annoyed voice. "Well then, no wonder we haven't heard of you in a while..." We? Jesus, I don't know a crap ton of things, but I guess I'll find out later or something.
About 2 hours later, we are almost there. As I look around, I notice a giant floating sphere over the city, must be the Traveler. "Lady's and gent's, I present to you, the amazing Traveler!" Apex says in a sarcastic tone. "And under the Traveler is what is known as the last city on earth, oh and look! There's the tower!" The Ghost says excitingly. As we land on the platform of the tower, I notice other Guardians walking about on the tower. "There are others?" I ask. "Oh buddy, there are wayy more than what you see." Apex says. We hop off as the aircraft is parked away. I look around to find everyone completely frozen and staring at Apex. I wisper, "Uh Apex, why are they, well um, staring at us?" He chuckles, "Well Razihel, I'm sort of a legend around here." I look at him in confusion. A legend? Hm, u wonder what he did to get that name on his behalf. As everyone stares at us in awe, we walk to the left wing which leads us to a sign that reads, "The Traveler." " Here we are." says Apex. I look yo my left to see a small staircase upward towards what looks like a study. I walk up the steps with my Ghost and Apex to find a man standing there reading some sort of scrole. "Uh, sir?" Ghost asks politely. "Hmm, this makes no since at- Oh, what. Oh I'm so sorry, place excuse m... Apex?" The man asks. I look at Apex seeing a smirk on his face. "Hay old man." Apex says as he leans in for a hug. "Good heavens, what brings you here Apex." The man asks as he twitches and looks at me. with a puzzled face. "This Warlock is what brings me to here, and I believe that he's the CO..." Apex says hesitantly. The man quickly jumps and looks at me with a surprised look. "The Chosen One? Insane! Oh, please excuse me, I'm the Speaker, I speak for the Traveler." So that's what he does, interesting. "Umm, sorry to sound so clueless, but what is The Chosen One, why am I it?" I ask. "Well Warlock, let's find out." The Speaker says with a curious voice. He grabs my right hand and places his on mine, and as he does so, I feel the same feeling as before. I feel a surge of energy going to my arms, and like before, I see it, like lightning in my hands. "My god, its true! Yous are the chosen one!" He yells happily.As I quickly try to stop the surge, it does and I look at the speaker. "What is the chosen one, what does it mean?" He looks at me and I look at him, the he opens his mouth to speak. "Well I can tell that you were barely awoken, so I don't blame you for your clueless mind. But let me explain." "After the fall of the Traveler, Guardians and Ghosts were born, and the Traveler told me that one day a Guardian would rise with unimaginable power, and you are that Guardian Warlock." "And as a Warlock, you wield magic and power more than Hunters and Titans, we expected the Chosen One to be a Warlock. And here you are." "But the reason why YOU are so important is because you are the only one who can fend back the darkness and take back what was once ours." The Speaker says. I stand there like an idiot, speachless. Me, defeating the darkness? Their only hope? "Why me, why not Apex, he is much more skilled than me!" I say as I realize it was said outloud. "Look Razihel, don't you think I tried to do what your supposed to do?!? I tried and tried but failed over and over again. You may not be as skilled as me, but over time I promise you, you will be." Apex remarks. I look at them as my Ghost pops out. "And I will make sure that he does so, I'll help you train, its my job." My Ghost says. "So it is, it please excuse me, I need to tell the Vanguard the good news!" "Begin your training at once, Apex wont help you tho, we need him for other duty's. Apex." The speaker says as Apex and him walk out the room. "Well it won't be easy, but we'll get there" Says the Ghost. "We will finally be able to beat the darkness, I hope..."
Hay guys, I know I don't have much of an audience, but whatever. I just wanted to say that some things may be confusing since it is backed off of a videogame. But don't worry, I will be doing Characters and other stuff next, that way you won't be completely clueless xD. Ducess!
