"I like you."
"You don't know me."
"I want to, though."

For the first time in my life, whole year without Elle beside me, in class-so I'm here, alone; without Elizabeth Jean. It was my fault anyway; I failed my Biology test for final exam and here I am; in technical science class; taking law course. I walked inside my new class and all the girls started to whisper to each other.

I sighed and my eyes searching for the empty seat. Now, I realized that Sofia is in the same class as me. We have been together for two years technically since today is our second anniversary. I found an empty seat beside a guy from swimming club, Adam Anderson. I walked to the empty seat and placed my back pack on the floor. My place is exactly behind Sofia's. She turned her face at me and her face lightened up.

"Happy second anniversary, babe," I whispered in her ear and she giggled.

"You too, darling," she said, getting red on her both cheeks and kissing my cheek. The class is about to start when Mr. Hale walked inside the class with a pile of papers on his side. Damn, Philosophy, my thought alarmed.

"Good morning, everyone. Today we gonna start the class with your Philosophy paper that you've done on your final exam last year," he beamed. I could hear groans and sighs and I can't help myself but cursed silently. I know that I'll get F for this shit even Elle taught me this subject. I hate it.

"Mr. Hemsworth." I heard Mr. Hale called out my name.

"Congratulations, there's an improvement. You got a B+," he continued and I gaped. What the fuck? All of the students clapped and I embarrassingly walked in front to take my paper.

"This is kind of miracle because you got B+ from the grade F. Are you sure that you're not cheating or something else that I should know, Mr. Hemsworth?" he asked.

"I know it is but trust me, I never cheated on exams. This is because Elle helped me a lot in study," I confessed.

"Oh, wow. Your girlfriend-"

"No, she is not my girlfriend. She is my friend," I corrected him. Why is everyone thought that Elle is my girlfriend? I already have Sofia. For the sake of two years.

"Okay, Mr. Hemsworth. You may sit now," he said. I sighed and walked back at my place. I could see that there's a pang of jealousy on Sofia's face. I shrugged at her and she plastered a half-smiled at me. The next class was a free period since Miss Golden having her meeting council with her tennis club students. I was sitting on my place, earphones plugged in and Arctic Monkey's song is on air. Sofia turned her chair towards me and stared at me. I looked up and smiled. I plugged off my earphones and stared at her back.

"Lucas," she called.

"Yes, babe," I said.

"Don't you think that everyone in this school thinks that you with Elly instead of me?" she asked.

I caught off the guard. "I don't think so because they all know that we both are just friends. They all know that I'm with you, not Elle," I explained.

"But not the teachers," she scoffed.

"I know. All of the teachers want me and Elle to be together. Funny isn't it?" I laughed. She smiled and turned her chair back to her table. I shrugged and plugged in my earphones back. I was thinking about Elle so I texted her.

Elle, are you free?

I sent the message and I got back the message.

The message is not sent.
