"Your kiss, my cheek, I watched you leave. Your smile, my ghost, I fell to my knees,"

"What?" he asked.
Fuck.
"I saw him. He makes me feel like bitch friend I am and I drunk that night because I'm frustrated with all these shits happened in my life," I snapped.
"Ellie..."
"No, please... it wasn't your fault," I said, raised my hand to stop him. I walked away from him and headed to my class. Hours passed by and I didn't see Luke anywhere. I was having practice today, I walked to the locker room for a change, I pulled my hair into a ponytail and walked to the restroom before go to gym. I was bumped into Luke and startled.
"Elle," he called.
"Luke..." I want to touch him so bad.
"How are you?" he asked.
"I-I am fine...thanks for t-that night," I said.
"Oh, you're welcome. You never drink," he stated.
"That was my first time though."
"Don't do that again, Elle." His words-sound like promises.
"Why do you care?" I asked.
Stop bitching, El, my inner goddess warned.
"Look, I'm sorry okay. I'm sorry for everything. I'm sorry for being such a stupid asshole friend that didn't try to be honest with you. I'm sorry for calling you psycho and I'm sorry for hurting you. I didn't mean it," he said.
I looked at him and I made a second mistake, I walked away from him. I ran to the restroom and cried. You little stupid bitch why did you run away? My inner goddess scolded. I ignored her but she's right. Why the fuck I walked away from him?
The next day, my life is miserable as hell. I walked into the cafeteria and I saw my best friend, Chloe is crying. I ran to her and held her face up.
"Chloe, what's wrong?" I asked.
"Carl cheated on her," Dana explained.
"Fuck what?" I shrieked. Dana passed me a piece of paper.
"She found this in her locker," Dana said. I reached the paper and read it.
Funny isn't it? Your pretty boyfriend shagging with some other girl at Zach's party and yes, you're just a stupid bitch.
I crumpled the paper into a ball and ran out from the cafeteria, looking for Carl. Once I saw him at his locker, I rushed towards him.
"Ellie," he called and I landed a fist across his cheekbone.
"You," I snarled.
"Ellie, what the hell!"
"You cheated on Clo!"
"What?"
"Who the fuck that you shagged at Zach's party?" I asked.
"What? I never shagged anyone!"
"I hate two type of person, fuckboy and liar!" I said and throw another punch at the same place.
"Ellie, stop," Chloe said, pulling me from Carl.
"I'm not done with you, Carl."
"You don't trust me? I'm your fucking best friend, Ellie," he said, brushed his cheekbone using his back hand.
"Miss Jean, my room now!" Mr. Sherwood yelled across the hallway.
"You owe me another fist, Hampton," I said and walked towards that bald principal's room. I glared at Mr. Sherwood before slid myself inside his room.
"Miss Jean, what is the problem right now?" he asked, once we settled down on chairs.
"That stupid Carl cheated on my friend," I said.
"Language Miss Jean. And what I know is, both of them are your friends," he said.
"Not for a liar."
"Miss Jean, are you sure that he is wrong?"
"Yes, see this," I said, placed the crumpled paper on the table. He took it and read the content.
"I guess someone just trying to set this up, you better investigate this thing first, of course that you know your friends all very well. But because you broke one of the rules which is no fighting in the school area, you will get a detention class for three hours once a week for a month," he said.
"Fine."
I walked out from his office and meet Nate. The last time I remember at the party was I was talking with Nate and Carl. I saw Nate and called him.
"Dude, you seriously shouldn't punch Carl," he said.
"You were with him that night, weren't you?" I asked, ignored his first statement.
"Yes, and he didn't shagging with anyone. We weren't even drunk," he said.
"Stop mocking me," I said.
"I didn't."
"Who the fuck did this," I said, more to myself.
"That's the main question now."
"If I know who did this, I swear am gonna kill them," I threatened.
"You'd better say sorry to Carl," he said.
"No until I found proof," I said defensively.
"Stubborn Ellie," he muttered.
•••
It wasn't me that the only one who looking for proof. Carl himself also trying to find the proof to prove me that he is innocent-which makes me believed him but still I didn't want to say sorry for the punches.
I was in the library when I saw Ryan was sitting alone in the library. I almost gasped when I saw him. Ryan McClarens...was sitting in the library, reading. I was about to walk out from the library when he stopped me.
"Ellie," he called. I looked at him.
"You are talking to me?" I asked.
"Don't do that," he said, narrowed his eyes at me.
"Fine, what do you want?" I asked.
"I want to talk, can you sit for a while?" he asked. I hesitated at first but sit in front of him eventually.
"You know what, I'm sorry for underestimate you," he said.
"What?" I asked, almost gaped.
"I say that I'm sorry for underestimating you. I thought that you're like the other girls, who act differently around each person that you meet," he said. Oh. All this time he thought that I was like that?
"Is this a confession session or prank or what?" I asked, roaming my eyes around the room.
"No, I realized this when I saw you punched Carl because of Chloe. Well, that's so good of you to protect your friendship and I salute you," he said, shrugged.
"Wow, Ryan. Are you okay?" I asked.
"Oh Ellie please," he frowned.
"No it is just like this is the first time you talk like this to me and you acted so different. I feel intimidating on you okay," I said.
"I'm sorry."
"For what?" I asked.
"Actually I know who started all this."
"Started what?"
"Ellie, I know who put the paper in Chloe's locker."
Holy momma.
