"drop everything now, meet me in the pouring rain, kiss me on the sidewalk and take away the pain cause I see sparks fly whenever you smile,"

"All tuxes are the same," Nate muttered.
"I don't think so," I said.
"What makes you think that?"
"Well there's tuxes for funeral, formal parties, weddings and more. The designs and patterns make them look different," I explained.
"Wow, you're good," Nate said.
I found a dark grey tux with classic design and headed to the fitting room for a change. A few minutes later, I walked out from the fitting room and Carl smiled smugly.
"If I'm a gay, I'll date you, Lucas," he said. I laughed and shooked my head. After I done with the cuffs around my wrists, Chloe ran towards us.
"Guys... Come here! Especially you Lucas! Hurry up," she said, excited.
"Whoa, my girl, what's up?" Carl said. Chloe gastured at the women's fitting room and we all obeyed her. It must be something. Carl looks like he knew it but I'm still here, puzzled. After we reached the fitting room, Chloe knocked one of the doors.
"Are you done?" she asked.
I looked around, wondering with who she is talking to. I saw Dana were standing beside Nate... That means... Elle is inside. Finally I feel my palms sweating and my heart beating so fast until I could feel that it would jump out anytime soon. I heard the clucked on the door and I know she is coming out.
Holy fuck. Did I just saw an angel walking out from the fitting room? Her eyes meet mine and she startled. Our eyes locked to each other and she didn't move.
"Oh. My. God," I heard someone gasped but I didn't look at the owner of the voice.
She looked stunning and seriously amazing. Note to self and everyone: Elizabeth Sophie-Anne Jean never wore a dress like never, not at all.
"What do you think, Lucas?" Chloe asked.
"I- I think-" I stuttered.
"Shit, I want to change," Elle said and closed the fitting room's door in front of her.
Nate walked beside me and smirked before saying these five words.
"You are so fucked up."

I slammed the door in front of me and back off from the door. Fuckfuckfuckfuckfuck. I just saw Luke in a freaking classy tux and he stuttering while his eyes locked into mine. I tried to calm myself from crying and changed into my tank top and jeans back.
I walked out and the others already changed into their clothes-including Luke. He looked up at me I flushed. Stupid Elle. They paid for their dresses and tuxes except me because my mom already made a dress for me. We went for dinner at one of the restaurants in the mall and drove home. I throw myself on my bed and sighed. Each time I think about Luke in his tux, I'll be frantic and I can't control myself. I need to get over him. He is my best friend for God's sake.
The next day, school goes as usual. I have a quick test in History class and I felt relieved that I've read and studies the chapter before. At lunch, Nate, Dana, Chloe and Carl waited something in excitement. I looked at them puzzled and Luke came in.
"Hey, guys," Luke beamed.
"Hey," we all said in unison.
Luke sat beside me and wrapped his arm around me. I feel a current of electricity from his body flows into my skin.
"I've got B+ in Philosophy," he said.
"Wow, that's good! Now you tell me," I said.
"Sorry, I just got a lot of things in mind."
"This senior year is sucks," I said, sighed.
"Not yet, it is just April... there's a shitload at the front, waiting for us," he said, shrugged.
"Yeah," I nodded in agreement.
