Once Luke drove us home, we walked inside the house and settled down on the couch. Luke looked distracted all the time after I had a call with Perry.
"Are you okay?" I asked.
"Huh? Oh yeah," he said distracted.
"No, you're not," I said and turned to face him.
"Baby, trust me. I'm okay," Luke said and I sighed before nodding my head and face the front. It's something about him that's not right. We reached my house and I didn't stop or ask him when he said he can't stay for awhile. Luke is acting so weird and I need some answer for this.
I walked inside the house and Peter was on the phone with his friend and ended the call when he saw me threw myself on the couch in the living room.
"Hey Sophie-Anne, where's Luke?" Peter asked and I just shrugged before saying, "He can't stay."
"Why? You guys fighting?" He asked and I shooked my head no.
"Peter," I called and he walked slowly and sit beside me.
"Yes, Sophie-Anne," he said, looking at me.
I looked at him back, and a lot of things running in my head. Peter is here, having a break from his college because he wanted some rest, not solving my high-school love problem and mostly, I'm a grown up person.
"Earth to Sophie-Anne," Peter said, snapping me out from my reverie.
"Yes?" I said.
"What's wrong?" Peter asked with concerned.
"Nothing, I just don't feeling well, PMS maybe," I said and Peter nodded.
"Have some rest," he said and I nodded.
"I will," I said before standing up and walked upstairs to my room.

Since Elle was having a call with Perry, I can't seemed to concentrate with everything. Perry is not a good person, but Elle likes her and Elle doesn't even know the truth about Perry except me, Arthur and Peter. After sending Elle home, I drove back to my house. Once I reached the pavement, I saw Arthur's car outside of the house. I walked inside to the main hall and I saw Arthur is having a talk with mum.
"I'm home," I hollered once I closed the door behind me.
"Lucas, come to the living room," mum called.
I walked to the living room and Arthur was looking at me and nodded.
"Have a talk you guys," mum said before strolling inside the kitchen.
"Why you're here?" I asked before settling on the couch in front of Arthur.
"I saw Perry today," Arthur said, rubbing his chin and through his eyes, I know something was up.
"She called Elle at school," I said and Arthur raised his eyebrow, "What did she say?"
"She's coming here tomorrow," I said and for sure I knew it was a lie because Arthur just saw her.
"Should we tell Elle?" Arthur asked.
"Will she believe us though? She's overly fond on her," I said and Arthur sighed before nodding his head.
"I can help with something," he said.
"Like what?"
"I'll ask my dad to help me about her, he knows some people and I guess we can get information from that as a proof and we can show it to Elle," he explained.
"We can try," I said and he nodded.
"I guess I should go now," he said, standing up from the couch and I followed after him.
"Call me if you have anything," I said and he nodded.
We both walked down the hallway and my mum came around us.
"Wanna go home?" She asked.
"Yeah, Alice. I have some things to do," he said and we bid goodbye before he drove his car away.
The next day I came to pick Elle at her house for school. I put on a shirt that as usual showing up my muscles and washed up jeans. I drove my car to her house and I saw a white Audi outside of the house. I turned off the engine and hopped off from my car.
I walked around the car and saw Elle came out from the house with Perry at her side. Perry saw me and smirk before Elle noticing me at the front.
"Hey Luke," Elle called and I smiled.
I walked towards her and without hesitation, I pulled Elle for a deep passionate kiss. She was surprised at first but she gave in. Perry at Elle's side was furious and taken back by my action. I cupped her both cheeks and pulled her closer before I broke the kiss.
"That was great and weird," Elle commented and I wrapped my arms around her waist.
"I know... I just miss you," I said and she smiled.
"Oh... Perry! Sorry I just get lost," Elle excused to Perry who already shot her eyes directly on me.
"Oh hi Perry, I didn't see you there," I said with a hint of sarcasm.
"It's okay," she lied.
"I have to go and Ellie, don't forget tonight," she said and hugged Elle before walking to her car, giving me a wink. What the fuck.
She drove her car away from the place and I turned to Elle.
"What tonight?" I asked.
"Oh she's throwing a party tonight at her apartment here, so she invites us," she said.
"You're going?" I asked.
"Sure, she's my cousin," she said.
Adopted, my thought corrected.
"Are you sure you wanna go?" I asked again.
"Yes? What's wrong? You seem so weird when it comes to Perry. Are you okay?" She asked.
"Yeah I'm fine, I just don't think that you should come to her party, like we can do something else tonight, just both of us," I reasoned.
"Why?" She asked incredulously.
"Because she's-" my words were cut by the ring of my phone. I sighed before fishing it out from the back of my pocket and picked it up.
"Guys, where the hell are you? The school is about to start," Nate boomed and I cursed.
"Fuck, we'll be there," I said and ended the call.
"School sweetie," I told Elle.
"Fuck!" She cursed and ran to the passenger seat.
God, how the hell I'm going to tell Elle that Perry is an adopted cousin and she's also the reason why she had a temporary loss memory.
