Immaturity and New Feelings

It was about 1 in the afternoon when Y/N came back home, she walked into her house and saw that the cushions on her couch were all in one large pile surrounding the corner and Jasper was sitting on her table staring at the pile. "What the hell happened while I was out?!"

Jasper pointed to the cushioned corner, "that damn cat..." she stopped talking and watched Y/N walk over to the pile and started putting away the pillows. Then the small kitten jumped up from one and raced over to Jasper, who was still sitting on the table. The kitten looked at Jasper and tried to jump up to her, but Jasper looked away and scooted farther from the kit.

Y/N finished putting the last cushion back and walked over to them, "you blocked off the cat so he won't get to you?" Y/N asked, exasperated. Jasper didn't say anything so Y/N picked the kit up and gave him a pet, "what a trouble maker!" Y/N laughed, "the both of you!"

Jasper scowled, then Y/N looked to her and smirked. She slowly set the kit onto the table and he quickly lumped up and pulled on Jasper's hair. The gems face grew a shade darker from rage and pulled the cat out of her hair, she looked at the kit for a moment and huffed, "you're annoying me." She used an underhand toss to throw the kitten onto the ground, the kitten landed on its feet then walked away from the two.

"Is it so hard to watch a kitten?" Y/N sighed and slightly frowned.

"I'm a warrior, I don't babysit," Jasper stated, she narrowed her eyes at Y/N.

"Whatever," Y/N took her flats off and walked towards her room, "I'll be back." Jasper watched her walk away and a guilty feeling started to overwhelm her.

'Damn it, why do I feel like this?' Jasper thought to herself, she sat there for a few minutes but quickly grew impatient, waiting for Y/N. So she got up and opened Y/N's door, but she saw that Y/N was sprawled out on her bed, sleeping in a pair of jeans and a sweater. 'Tired?' Jasper thought, walking over to Y/N's bedside, staring at her intensely.

Y/N felt something a bit ominous and peeked from a barely opened eye, she saw Jasper looking down at her with great interest, then she tried not to blush, 'oh shit, she kinda looks hot! Oh god Y/N get ahold of yourself!' Without opening her eyes she stuttered a bit, "D-don't you know how to knock? I deserve SOME privacy you know!"

Jasper's raised her eyebrow at Y/N, "gems don't-"

"I'm not a gem Jasper!" Y/N stood on her bed, now eye level with Jasper. She stood steadily and looked at the gem with a serious look on her face, bouncing slightly from her quick motions. Y/N started to bounce a little more and eventually she was laughing and full on jumping on her bed just as a small child would.

"Are all humans this serious?" Jasper asked sarcastically and sat on the edge of Y/N's bed.

"Haha, no, just me!" Y/N flopped onto her stomach, propping her head on the palm of her hand while she sat right next to Jasper. They both sat in a somewhat awkward silence, but the mood quickly disappeared, Jasper looked forward and tried to avoid looking at Y/N.

"Jeez, you're crazy," Jasper grinned as she said that. She waited for Y/N to come up with some humorous remark but it didn't happen, instead she felt something lean against her. The gem looked down and saw Y/N resting again and her head leaning was against Jasper's thigh, the gems orange face grew a few shades dark and turned away. 'Oh fuck...' Jasper peeked at Y/N again, the humans mouth was slightly open and she had a peaceful look on her face. 'She's cute! Wait, what am I saying?! This is a human!' Before Jasper could look at Y/N again, a buzzing went off, Y/N opened her eyes and jumped off of her bed. She checked her phone and read the screen carefully before her eyes widened with interest.

"Oh shit!" Y/N yelled, she ran to her closet and pulled out her camera, "I gotta go, my boss just sent me on another 'mission'!" She didn't see Jasper's blushing face and quickly ran out of the room, the gem slowly stood up and trudged after her. As she followed Y/N she saw that the human was already throwing on her shoes, "I'm sorry Jasper, I'm going again! I won't be gone for nearly as long as last time though, so don't make my house a mess again! Bye!" And Y/N was gone again, leaving Jasper with a new feeling that she had never felt before.
