Ashley:

Today is Danielle's birthday and I sure hope this keeps my mind distracted off Niall for a bit. I really miss him and I need to do something to get him off my mind for a while. 

I finished taking a shower before I started changing. I tied my curly hair up into a ponytail before looking in the mirror and fixing up my makeup. I checked myself in the mirror again once I was done. Perfect! 

I slipped my shoes on and grabbed my bag before heading downstairs. I grabbed my keys to the car and walked out, closing the door behind me. I got in the car and started driving towards Danielle's place.

Once I got to Danielle's place, I stepped out of my car. I knocked on the door, and after a few minutes, Lesley pulled the door open. 

"Hey" she said while smiling and hugging me. "Rudolph's here!" she called out before stepping aside while I walked inside. 

"But it's not Christmas yet" I heard Chloe call out, making me chuckle. "Oh! That one!" she said once she spotted me. "Hey, Rudolph!" she said while smiling. 

"Hey, Chloe" I greeted her, setting my bag down before searching around for Danielle. 

"She's in the kitchen making cupcakes with Nixie" Chloe told me, as if reading my mind. 

"Cupcakes!" I squealed, my eyes growing wide before I rushed into the kitchen, spotting Danielle. "Dani, Happy Birthday!" I yelled out before running up and jumping on her back, hugging her tightly.  

"Thank you" she said while chuckling.

I jumped off her back before looking towards the cupcakes. When neither of them were looking, I quietly took one of the cupcakes and headed towards the living room.  

"I saw you" Nixie called after me. 

"No, you didn't" I called back while laughing. 

I started eating the cupcake before helping the girls set everything up for the party. Even though Danielle didn't want anything big, we still invited our families and closest friends over. 

"Ashley, could you please check my twitter and respond to all the Happy Birthdays?" Danielle called out from the kitchen. 

"Okay" I said. 

I grabbed her phone from the couch and opened up her twitter. She had a lot of birthday messages and even birthday tweets. I responded to as many as I possibly could before setting her phone down. My hand was starting to cramp. I got up and walked towards Chloe to take a little break. 

"Could you please hand me those napkins up there?" she asked while pointing at the top of the refrigerator. 

I nodded and walked over. I tried reaching up and grabbing the napkins but it was too high. I remember how Niall was always the one that would help me grab things I couldn't reach. I groaned before getting up on the counter and grabbing the napkins. I got down and handed them to Chloe, who was laughing. 

"What's so funny?" I asked her. 

"I didn't really need the napkins, I just wanted to see you struggle a little" she admitted.
