Nixie:

"Are you sure you've taught me enough?" I asked Louis while grabbing my surf board he bought for me. "I'm scared" I admitted.

"Yes, I'll be right next to you at all time. I promise. Just try what I taught you" he reassured me.

"Okay" I said with a small nod.

"Watch out for that shark!" he yelled while pointing behind me.

"Louis, we're still on the sand" I said while shooting him a look as we kept walking towards the ocean.

"I know, I'm just testing you. Look, a dolphin!" he yelled while pointing towards the ocean.

"Lou, quit testing me, it's just surfing. I believe you've taught me well, hopefully" I said while rolling my eyes and focusing on the huge and heavy surf board I was carrying.

"I'm not even joking! There is a dolphin in the air out there" he said while putting his finger under my chin and making me look.

There was actually a dolphin, way off in the distance, diving into the ocean. "That was so beautiful" I exclaimed while stopping for a minute to take a rest.

"Let's go. We're almost at the shoreline, love" Louis told me.

We finally reached the shoreline. I took off my top and shorts revealing my bright blue bathing suit. I threw the clothes nearby on the sand. "See you out there, Tommo" I said while running into the water, carrying my board with me.

Louis was following close behind me. We got on our board and he guided me towards further out the ocean. We sat there for a while waiting. A few small waves came here and there, and suddenly one huge once started approaching us. Louis always told me to wait for the bigger waves.

"Finally! Now I can see if I taught you well" Louis said as the wave approached us.

We got in position on our boards. As soon as the wave came, it swept us away. I waited a few seconds before standing up on the board. I kept my balance the entire time while riding the wave and I smiled proudly.

Once the wave died down, I looked over to the right where Louis should've been, but he wasn't.

My eyes grew wide and I started to panic. Okay, what do I do now?

Louis taught me how to swim. I just have to jump into the water and do what he taught me. I took a deep breath before I jumped into the water. Even though it burned like hell, I opened my eyes and tried really hard to search around for Louis. I finally saw his body floating nearby and I swam over towards him. I grabbed him by the torso and used all my strength to pull him to the surface. Once I got to the surface I started coughing. I pulled him out to shore and he was unconscious.

I started pushing down on his chest before reaching over and pressing my lips to his, giving him mouth to mouth. I wiped away the tears that were forming in my eyes.

"Come on, Lou" I said while pressing down on his chest again.

His eyes flew open and he coughed out all the water. I let out a sigh of relief while looking at him with worry. He finished coughing before looking up at me with a smile.

"Why are you smiling? You almost died!" I scolded him as he sat up.

"But I didn't, thanks to you. I didn't know you would risk your life for mine like that" he said, reaching for my hand.

"I would always risk my life for yours, Lou" I admitted.

He smiled and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me in for a hug. I smiled and hugged him back, feeling relieved that he was okay. "You're welcome" I told him.

He chuckled before pulling back and kissing my cheek.

"Let's try that again" he said while grinning.

"Let's not" I shook my head.
