Midnight memories 37

Lesley:

I was drawing a tiger in my sketchbook when suddenly my phone started vibrating in my pocket. I pulled the phone out and answered the call. 

"Hello?" I sang while pressing the phone to my ear.  

"I need your help" Jessica said from the other end. 

"What's going on? Are you okay?" I asked in a worried tone.  

"I'm fine. The best player on our team got hurt and she's in a coma. We can't play without her and the game is tonight. Could you please replace her? Just this once? For this game? It's really important and you know I wouldn't be asking you this if it wasn't" she said. 

"I--I--Me? Why me?" I asked with confusion. 

"Because you're awesome and our last hope. It's only for the game. We really need you. Please" she said. 

"Well--uh--sure" I agreed. 

"Really?" she asked, shocked. 

"Yeah" I answered. 

"Wow, thank you so much! I'll send you all the information about the game tonight, okay" she said. 

"Okay" I replied. 

"Bye! And thank you again" she said before hanging up. 

I checked the time before setting my phone down. I have to go visit my parents and my siblings, Alyssa and Jake. I really miss them already. 

I showered and changed before grabbing my phone. I headed downstairs and grabbed the keys to my car before heading out. 

I was driving when my phone vibrated with a notification. I stopped at a red light before grabbing my phone. I was tagged in some photo. I opened up the notification and my heart dropped to my stomach when I saw it was a photo of Zayn holding hands with some blonde girl. Their backs were turned to the camera but I could tell that was my Zayn holding some other girl's hand. I frowned and then there was a honk behind me. I looked up at the green light, tossing my phone in my purse before I continued driving. I tried to focus but I couldn't stop thinking about that picture. 

How could Zayn do this to me? I need to talk to him.

I rang the door bell, and after a few minutes, my sister opened up. Her eyes grew wide and a huge smile spread across her face. 

"Lesley!" she squealed while hugging me tightly. 

"Hey, Alyssa" I smiled while hugging her back. 

She pulled away and we stepped inside. 

"I have so many things to tell you" she said while closing the door.  

"Alyssa who's at the d--

My mom stopped dead in her tracks when she saw me. "Lesley, honey!" she said while hugging me. 

"Hi mom, where's dad?" I asked her. 

"He's at work. He'll be here in a few minutes. Wait until he sees you" she said while smiling.
