The End

Clarity's P.O.V.

As we are on our way home, Luke got a call from Ashton. He pulled over, got out of the car, and answered the call. I can see his lips moving but I can't make out what he is saying.

After he hung up, he got back in the car. He looked down and just sat there with his hands over his face. "Luke, what's wrong? Is Ashton okay?" Something had definitely happened to Ashton.

"Ashton told me that yet another person left him. Brittany chose Calum instead of him. He said he started cutting again. He feels alone and depressed because of a girl. I can't let him go on like this." He had sounded like he was crying. He lifted his head up and started to drive.

We pulled up in the driveway and Luke immediately got out of the car. He came and opened my door. "Clarity, we need to talk. Meet me in your bedroom." He left and went inside.

I got out of the car and went inside. First thing I saw was Brittany and Calum. They looked at me then continued to talk. I walk up the stairs to my room and opened the door. "Ashton? What are you doing in here?" After a second, I see Luke walk out of the bathroom and sat down next to Ashton. "Luke what's going on?"

"I'm sorry. I need to be with Ashton right now. I can't be with you anymore. You have meant a lot to me, but I've known Ashton longer and he needs someone right now. I'm sure there will be someone else in your life. You're beautiful, talented, sweet, caring, and kind. There is someone out there for you, it's just not me." I didn't have anything to say to either of them so I just walked out, shut the door, and went into the front yard.

I don't understand what just happened. Luke left me for Ashton? I didn't know Luke or Ashton was gay. When and why? What am I supposed to do now?

I hear the door open behind me and see Brittany and Livy walk out. "Clarity, what happened with Luke?" Livy says as they both sit down on the step with me.

"He said Ashton needed him and that I'd find someone and that it just wasn't him. What did I do? I didn't know that they felt that way about each other." Brittany got up and went in the house slamming the door shut.

"It's fine. I'm sure you'll be okay. Life doesn't always go as planned. You have Brittany and I, and that's all that matters." Livy always tried to help but right now, it's not working.

"Just go. I don't care at this point. I just wanna be alone." Livy got up and walked back inside. I only had her go inside because I didn't wanna blurt out what I was going to do.

Thinking more about what I was going to do, I remembered that I have a ceiling fan in my room and we had a rope in the garage. I go inside, collect everything I need, write a note, and sit down and look at my life for the last time. All the memories I have with everyone ran through my head, all the happy moments I once had. I tied the rope on the ceiling fan,wrapped it around my neck, and before I moved the stool, a single tear ran down my face. I kicked the stool, and shut my eyes. Goodbye, Luke.
