Chapter 6

I woke up in the tight embrace of my loving mate. We were on the bed so he must have carried me from the couch at some point in the night. His face was buried in my neck and his slight stubble lightly tickled me. I moved back a tiny bit to see his somber face. He looked so relaxed and handsome, and he was all mine. I had to pee but didn't want to wake him so I started slowly trying to move from his firm grasp. Just as I thought I had succeeded he suddenly tightened his hold and pulled me even closer than before. I huffed as Jade purred with delight.

I began to lightly tap his nose trying to wake him before I peed myself. He responded by burying his face in the crook of my neck again. Ugh I have to pee! I thought to myself. I started to wiggle again while turning my head and placing light kisses on his head.

"Stop squirming" he mumbled as he yet again pulled me closer.

"I will when you let me up. I have to pee."

He chuckled as he loosened his grasp

"Finally!" I sighed as I hopped up.

I just made it around the bed when he suddenly reached out and pulled me back down.

"Ugh I have to pee damn it!"

"You can. But first I need my morning kiss" he said with a smirk as his lips met mine.

I'm glad he pulled me in quickly or else he might have seen my blush.

"You look cute when you blush" he added as he pulled away so our lips barely touched.

Ugh busted I thought to myself. I quickly gave him another peck on the lips and ran to the bathroom.

We had both gotten dressed and were sitting on the bed watching Tv.

"I wanna go for a run" Jade suddenly spoke up, "It's been awhile let's go!"

"Always so demanding" I sighed as I stood up.

"Where you going?" Xavier questioned.

"Let's go for a run. Jade's getting impatent" I said as I headed to the door.

"Sounds good. Max wants to get out and stretch as well. And maybe Cody and Bailey can tag along as well" He suggested.

I nodded my head and pulled out my phone. After sending a quick text to Bailey asking to meet up we headed to the forest.

We walked up to find Bailey and Cody kissing on a fallen log.

"My eyes!" I screeched as I covered me and  Xavier's eyes with my hands.

They quickly jumped apart with red cheeks.

They mumbled something about being sorry and walked into the thick forest. I laughed as I walked behind a tree to shift. When I came back around in my panther I brushed against Xavier's bear. We turned to see Bailey with her beautiful dark red coat that matched her hair with black tips on her ears and Cody as a light beige colored mountain lion. I tilted my head towards the forest and scratched the ground to show I wanted to race.They soon caught on as they lined up beside me. Bailey gave off three short barks and we were off.

Jade thrived with the challenge and we soon took the lead. Cody was close behind followed Bailey and Xavier. Cody pulled slightly ahead and  made a sound of pride in his throat. I mentally smirked. Jade never lets anyone win. I quickly change course and headed towards a thick tree. Cody shot me a confused glance but I simply ignored him as I lept up the tree. As I started jumping from tree to tree I heard Bailey howl and Xavier grunt as they tried to keep up.
