Family Time

It was around 9:30 in the morning and Jody just woke up. He looked over at Yvette and saw that she was still sleep "daddy put it down last night" Jody whispered with a smirk on his face. He walked out the room and heard the sound of the tv coming from the living room. Jody saw JoJo watching cartoons with YaYa in his lap. "Morning JoJo" "Hey dad" "Since when did you get so grown, got your little sister up all by yourself and got her bottle too." " You told me I had to be the man while you were gone so I was, but I'm glad your back. I'm tired of being the man around here." Jody laughed "That's my boy, you want some breakfast?" "Yea!" "Ok come help me we gonna make your mama some too." Jody picked YaYa up who had fallen asleep, and put her in the play pin then he and JoJo went to the kitchen to make the food. "You think mommy's gonna like this." " Yea we did good." JoJo said giving his dad a high five. They both walk into the bedroom first checking to make sure YaYa was still sleep in her pin, Jody walks over to the bed and nudges Yvette to wake her up. "Baby get up" Yvette stirs a little bit but doesn't wake, Jody does it again this time with more success. "Baby, we got something for you." "What?" Yvette says as she starts to sit up, she sees JoJo with a tray of food in his hands. " Awww  did y'all do this for me?" Yvette said with a smile on her face. "Yup, we did it all by our selves" JoJo said as he walked up to his mom with the food. Yvette takes the tray from him and kisses him "thank you baby, both my babies." They both just smiled at her. "Where's YaYa?" "In the living room sleep, JoJo got up and gave her, her bottle already" "Thats my big man."

They finished breakfast, talked, lounged around the house then got dressed. They were headed to Juanita's house for a little family get together.

They pulled up to Juanita's house and as usual JoJo jumped out the car and ran to the front door and opened it. "GRANDMA" JoJo yelled. Jody got YaYa out of the car and he and Yvette walked up behind JoJo. "Hey mamma" Jody said while walking into the house, he saw his mom in the kitchen giving JoJo a hug. "Hey baby, hey Yvette." "Hi Ms Juanita." Yvette said as she gave her a hug. "Let me see my grand baby" Juanita said reaching out for YaYa. "Aww look at you, you getting so big with yo pretty self, and these chunky legs I could just eat them up" YaYa just giggled at her. "Mama where Melvin at?" "He in the back" Jody walked to the back to go talk to Melvin for a bit, he was standing at the grill flipping some meat. "What up Melvin" "Sup baby boy, I see you got yo little family back." "Yup, her ass finally stopped being stubborn and listened to what I had to say." "Ha, know this when it comes to women yo ass ain't never gonna be right. Yo ass is wrong when you right and you damn sure wrong when you wrong." They both laughed. "Help me bring this food in the house." "I got you." Melvin and Jody brought the food he was cooking inside. "Hey the food ready" "Ok Melvin just set it on the table." Juanita said while still in the living room holding YaYa. "JoJo go wash your hands and come sit at the table." "Ok mom" Yvette went to the kitchen to fix YaYa a bottle and sat down at the table along with everyone else.

"So when y'all gonna get married, I mean y'all been engaged for a minute now. Have y'all even set a date or talked about it?" Juanita asked. "Naw we ain't talked about it." "I mean I want to get married soon, but I mean there ain't no rush but I'm not waiting no 2,3 years or nothing like that." Yvette said with a matter of fact tone. "Well have you looked at any dresses?" "I've looked at a few but not that many." "Well that's a start." Juanita said with a slight laugh. "See now that's my cue to get up outta here, I ain't trying to hear about no damn dresses." Melvin said and he got up from the table kissed Juanita then dipped, with Jody and JoJo right behind him. Yvette and Juanita just laughed. They continued to talk about wedding things and life, while Jody, Melvin and JoJo were in the other room watching a basketball game.

After a while Jody and Yvette decided to head home. "Bye mamma, love you" Jody said as he kissed his mom on the cheek with a sleep JoJo in his arms. "Bye baby." "Keep ya head up baby boy." Melvin said from his chair. "Bye Juanita I'll talk to you tomorrow" "Bye see you later and kiss my grand baby goodnight for me." "Ok I will."

Once home Jody and Yvette put the kids in the bed and went back to their room. "That was nice baby, having a little family meal with your mom and Melvin." Yvette said as she started to get undressed. "Yea it was cool, y'all and that wedding talk had a nigga twitching and what not" Jody said with a slight laugh. "Why?" "I don't want to hear all that female talk, I just want to know the date and what to wear and I'll make sure I'm there." Whatever Jody." They both got in the bed and snuggled up close to each other. "You know I love yo ass right" Jody said as he placed a few kisses on her neck. "I know baby, I love you too." Jody leans in to kiss Yvette. What was supposed to be a quick kiss turned into a full blown make out session. Jody was just about to pull the strap down from Yvette's top when they heard YaYa's cry. "Fuck man." "Sorry baby mommy duties are calling." They kissed real quick then Yvette got up to tend to YaYa, once she was back in the room she saw Jody was already sleep. "Aww look at my baby." Yvette got in the bed and kissed him on the forehead and pulled the covers over her. Jody turned over and wrapped his arms around her and kissed her neck. "Night baby" "Night. They both fell asleep.
