ASTRID'S POV

We face off, Cassidy and I, and my body automatically arranges itself into a fighting stance. My mind may have forgotten, but my body seems to remember. She puts both hands to her sides and slowly draw them outward. Two ice daggers form along that trail, with her holding their hilts.

Wow, I have to admit, I was pretty awesome.

She swiftly approaches and lunges with one dagger. I dodge to the side, then jump back, as the second dagger whistles in the space where I was standing a few seconds ago. I then drop down and roll, as a dagger slices the air above my head. I summon water and use it as a whip and attempt to tie her feet together. She lightly dances out of its way and continues to throw Ice projectiles - daggers, needles, blades, and I continue to dodge them with my whip and willpower. I, in reply, use two Water whips and try to trip her or catch one of her limbs and render it useless. We go on like this for quite a while, but I start to slow down. She sees this and starts another round of relentless attacks, this time, throwing round discs. I continue to dodge them, but one whizzes by my arm, and blood starts to run down it. I lose one of my Water whip. One disc was going for my head, but I dodged and it hit my temple. Blood starts to block my vision.

"Did you know, Astrid? Wounds above your eyebrows are quite bothersome. They may be small, but they bleed quickly. I am tired of our game, I'll end this now." I whip at her with desperation, but she laughs as she dances out of the way until we were inside the ring of her thrown Ice projectiles.

"These discs, Astrid? They were never meant to cut you from the start. They were meant to do this." She summons a light orb into her hand. "Ice Mirrors, Light Deception."

I fall to my knees. "Your senses, Astrid are rendered useless. You will see illusions in your mind, but you will not see me cutting you ever so slowly. You are weak! You lost now. You've already lost this war, your friends, and everything and everyone you love, because you are weak."

I suddenly had the urge to laugh so I did. She pauses, unsure. "What are you laughing at?"

"I didn't know I was so talkative before. Have your head the saying silent waters run deep?"

She waits, almost impatiently, for my answer. "You lost, Cassidy. You already have when you gave me the chance to use Water."

"What are you talking about? I can use Water just as well -"

"And all my powers, but you have let Darkness cloud your heart. There are two techniques that Suho forbade me to use unless if I was in dire need."

She gasps. "You cannot have! You did not have the chance to make a spellbinding circle!"

"Wanna make a bet? Like I said, you already lost when you gave me the chance to use Water. I wasn't aiming at you, I was aiming at the ground. Water Whip, Puppet Master Strings."

I regain my senses and found her suspended by water from the atmosphere, a spellbinding circle glowing beneath her. I stand up and go to her. When I reach the spot where she was hanging, only my necklace remained.

You have lost Cassidy.

I take the necklace and wear it. MY powers come rushing back, including Darkness. I embrace them all, and I start to remember.

KAI'S POV

The girl (I will not believe that she is Astrid) walked silently, her wings dragging along her back like a cloak. I teleport to where she was, grab her, and lift her by her garments. "Where is Astrid? What have you done with her?"
