The Impossible [Name] | KH/FF/Other Reader-Insert

Prologue/Info

                 

A/N:

Hey everyone! So this will be your general Reader-Insert story where [Name] is your name and you fill in the rest such as [height], [eye color], etc. This is a Kingdom Hearts fanfic with some Final Fantasy characters in it. To be honest, it will mostly be the characters who are in the KH world as of now. I may add a few others, but they would most likely be from FFX/X-2 because those are my favorite FF games. Please let me know if there are grammatical errors and/or constructive criticism! I won't take offense as long as it is actually constructive.

A couple other things, the first few chapters are going to be focused selected characters which will be some of the BOC's, and will seem entirely confusing but I promise it will make sense if you would all just bear with me. This chapter is just the prologue, but I am uploading two more chapters after this one. I am changing some of the characters' backgrounds but it will be for the story and serve a purpose. I have played all the KH games all the way through except for BBS (which I am currently playing as I just bought a PS3) and DDD because I need to finish BBS first. That being said, those characters that will be involved/BOC's such as Ven, Terra (maybe? Does anyone want him as a BOC?), Van, etc. will be implemented later. Just trust me on this one.

The main story (not these first few chapters) takes place around the events of KH2 but with sort of an AU twist... I'm sure you'll get it lol.

Also special thanks to Liz who this chapter is dedicated to for helping me navigate WattPad! Her stories are great, she's very funny, and she's an amazing writer!

Prologue:

"...[Name], you have to make a choice."

You looked around at the people around you: your friends, your closest allies, and finally, him. You closed your eyes, trembling slightly. This isn't how it's supposed to go...

He nodded, taking your pause as confirmation that he would be the one. The one who would save everyone-the one who would save you. "[Name]." He stepped forward, towards you.

You opened your eyes; your shaking stopped as you reached out a hand to him, but made no attempt to move forward. As he came forward to take your hand, to embrace you one final time, you turned your wrist and held up your hand to bring him to a halt. This isn't how it's supposed to go. "...I'm sorry."

You charged up a beam in your palm, tears in your eyes. Before anyone could react, you released it, the force hitting him square in the chest and blowing him back off his feet. The last thing you saw of him through your tears was his look of shock, horror, and betrayal. You turned around, running from the scene and refusing to look back as your silent tears turned into sobs.

This is how it's supposed to go.
