Zexion
A/N:
Even if you're not a fan of Zexion, please read cause there are important plot points! This isn't going to make much sense but I swear it all actually comes together lol.
Also make sure you read the other stories or later on it won't make as much sense! (i.e. The next chapter is Axel's, so even if you don't want him as a BOC please read it, thanks!)

You leaned over Ienzo's shoulder from behind. "Whatcha reading?"
"A tome," he said, not looking up from his page.
You frowned, and poked his shoulder gently. "Can't even pay attention to your girlfriend."
He closed the book, keeping his finger on the page to not lose it. "Sorry [Name], you were saying?"
You huffed in mild frustration. "I was saying you're too busy reading to pay attention to your girlfriend." You smiled, showing you were joking and sat next to him. "What's it about?"
"Well," he started. "This tome is about how to make illusions, one of the hardest kinds of spells. Using magic you can actually use a spell that can make it look like you changed your entire surroundings. You can change your appearance, make it look like someone is there who really isn't, manipulate different voices, you can even-" he stopped, hiding behind his bangs. "Sorry, I'm probably boring you, aren't I?"
You shook your head. "Not at all. I love listening to you, especially when you're teaching me new things," you said genuinely.
He nodded eagerly, a small smile donning his face. "So all I would need is some sort of instrument to channel the magic through, to memorize the spells, and, well, magic."
You leaned your head on his shoulder, listening to him talk. It made you think back to when you first met him, how he would barely talk to anyone, and how far he had come now.

You walked into the bookshop in District 1, and saw no one at the register. You shrugged, deciding to just look around anyway. You sauntered through the shelves, taking in the scents of all the books and smiling to yourself. You walked down the aisle labeled "Magic" and started to browse the shelves. You found one called Thunder and picked it up. You opened the book and sat down. You started reading it, but some of the words didn't make sense to you, almost as if it was in another language.
As you were reading, enthralled in what you could understand, a book landed next to you. You jumped a bit, being pulled out of the book and looked up next to you. A guy around your age with long bangs and light blue-silver hair covering half his face was looking down at you. He nodded towards the book he put next to you and you picked it up. "Runic Translations?" You asked him. He nodded towards the magic book and you tilted your head back in understanding. "Oh, I see. Thank you!" He just nodded again and left you to read. You placed both books sideways on the shelf so you could find them again tomorrow. As you left, you tried waving to the guy who helped you as he was standing behind the counter, but he was facing away so you just decided to talk to him tomorrow.
You came in the next day with Munny to buy both books. Once again, no one was at the register. You found the books where you left them the day before and held them to your chest. You walked up and down the rows looking for the light-haired male and finally found him sitting on the ground, not unlike how you were yesterday. He was reading what looked like an ancient book with a thousand pages. You stood behind him and peeked over his shoulder. "Whatcha reading?"
