I saw a star shining today,
A young girl on a stage,
Music sifting, swirling through curtains,
Taps, spins, pirouets,
A jump and a twirl,
Spotlights being down,
Shining, bring out,
The magic of a shining star,
As it sparkles in the light,
A burning ball of hope and wonder,
And brilliance,
Shining, shining,
Among thousands of others,
And yet standing out,
All on it's own.
