A week later, Emilia's P.O.V

I've learnt to keep my curtains shut. It's quite a shame, because I began renting this place for its view. I shut the curtain the night I came home, and have only opened it a couple times to check the weather, but every time I looked, Gerard was in his room.

Speaking of Gerard, he added his brother's number to my phone, the fucker. I may sound upset, but I'm actually kind of glad. Mikey has been texting me pretty often. He's told me the basics of his life. He's told me his name, his age, his music interests (to a certain extent), a couple of his favourite films and his extensive knowledge of comic books, TV shows and horror movies. To which I responded with a couple facts about me. He's told me on multiple occasions that he wants to see me in person. I'm still considering the idea. I don't know if he considers me to be a friend yet. He seems like a pretty cool person.

I've also been texting Gerard. He's a lot like his brother in a few ways, but I think Gerard is more outgoing. He told me he enjoys creating art as well, but he doesn't do it for profit. He's sent me photos of his comic book work, and I think he should invest in publishing it, or at least selling a couple photos because he's really talented.

I could hear my phone vibrating. I sighed inaudibly before getting up off of the couch to search for it. I glanced over at the coffee table, it wasn't there. I checked the bookshelf, it wasn't there either. Then, I followed the direction of the buzzing over the faint tune of The Smiths playing, and I found my phone on the kitchen counter. Picking up the phone, I clicked the button to see the message, it was from Gerard.

<<Hey, Mikey and I were wondering if you wanted to come hang out with us. I know this is new for you and it's the first time, but it's totally up to you. How does our place in an hour sound? – Gerard >>

My face starts to get warm as I run a hand through my hair. "Their house? What would we do? Would we go anywhere? Is it just the two of them? What would I wear? What time would I go home at?" I asked myself. "I guess I should answer... but I don't know what to do. I guess I could go... if it's just them two." I figured. If I could handle people back home, I can handle these two dorks. My hands pick up the phone, almost in a rush. My hands started to shake as I typed the message in. Stupid hands.

<<Sure, an hour sounds good. Anything special I should wear? - Emilia>>
I got an almost instant response. It read, <<Nothing fancy, we're not going anywhere. We're just gonna hang out. I suggest wearing something comfy. – Gerard>>

I smiled at the message as I put my phone down and go my clothes ready. I grabbed a large Smith's tee shirt from my closet and paired it with some black leggings, seeing as I don't own anything else, pants wise.

I took at shower, and left my hair to dry normally, it stayed a bit wavy. I winged my eyeliner and put a minimal amount of mascara on. Satisfied with my looks, I put an oversized grey sweater on, fed my cat, texted Gerard and left.

---

I'm not going to lie; I wasn't just shaking from the cold as I raised my freezing, red and white hand up to the Way's white vinyl door. I closed my eyes to help calm myself; it worked for a brief moment, as I knocked on the door. My legs were nearly about to give out, but I smiled slightly when I heard the hurried rush of footsteps running to the door. I bit my lip out of habit as the door swung open.

I didn't have the chance to speak before a hand was shyly placed in front of me. I looked up from the ground, biting down on my lip harder than before when I saw his face. The first thing I noticed were his beautiful hazel eyes. They were similar to Gerard's, but not nearly as gorgeous. My eyes trailed down from his eyes to take in the rest of his features. His cheek bones highlighted his slim face and amazingly structured jawline. He could be a model, honestly. I was shocked. I haven't seen him before, so I assumed he was Mikey. I didn't anticipate for him to look this good. I shook his hand and his hands felt very warm, compared to mine.

"I'm Mikey." He stated. "It's nice to finally meet you, Emilia." He paused, looking at me quickly, and then smiled warmly. "You're freezing, please... come inside."

He gestured for me to walk in, and I did. He pointed to the mat near the door and mumbled something about taking my boots off. After following his simple instructions, he led me to the staircase. That's when I took time to look at what he was wearing. A pair of black, well-fitting skinny jeans, a black smashing pumpkins tee shirt that hung loosely on his thin body, and a red wristband. I took off my sweater and he turned to look at my shirt.

"Nice shirt" He whispered while softly smiling. I smiled back and blurted "You too! Your shirt... It's nice." I sighed quietly at my own stupidity before Mikey giggled and guided me towards the staircase.

"Gerard! She's here!" He suddenly yelled as we made our way upstairs.

"Aaaahhh! Bring her in!" I heard faintly from behind a bedroom door that I could only assume was Gerard's. He sounded childish, and excited.

Mikey pushed to door open to reveal a marvelous blanket fort. It had cushions on the floor, with multiple blankets of various colours attached to the wall. There were fairy lights strewn across the entrance and a bundle in the back. The lighting was dim, but comfortable. It was almost as if the room was illuminated by candles, even though there were none.

"Woah! Nice shirt!!"

I looked down to see Gerard smile and gesture for me to grab a PlayStation controller. I did, and I crawled in.

Mikey and I got comfortable in the surprisingly roomy fort along with Gerard and we played a videogames for hours.

After a couple of snack breaks and getting up to stretch our legs, we decided to watch a movie. Mikey and Gerard both suggested we'd watch Lost Boys. I didn't have anything to object, so I agreed.

---

More than halfway through the movie I was cuddled up with Mikey and hiding my face, trying to avoid any more jump scares. Although I was kind of scared, I figured now would be a great time to appreciate how comfortable I am. So I get as close to Mikey's body as possible and I rest my head on his chest. I instantly realised how tired I was and I let my eye's fall shut.

The last thing I remember was Mikey playing with my hair as I fell asleep.
