  *BANG*

The sound echoed through the hallways and into my bones. I jolted awake and sat up as fast as I could. Mikey sat up next to me with wide eyes. I was shaking from fear. It could have been a dream, but it sounded far too real.

"Did you hear that too?" he whispered, looking towards the door.

"Yeah" I squeaked "It sounded like a-"

*BANG*

"Gunshot" I heard Frank whisper from across the room.

The gunshot was accompanied by muffled yelling, and I swore someone was sobbing.

"WHERE ARE THEY?!" I could hear a man yell. There was more muffled sobbing.

I checked the time, it was only 5 am.

We were all awake by now, and I was terrified. I couldn't move a muscle, I was paralyzed. We all knew it was Pete, and Mikey knew what to do. He always knew what to do.

"Pack your stuff- we're getting out of here ASAP" He told us, frantically shoving things in bags.
We tried to be as quiet as possible, without making ourselves noticed. Ray was on the phone calling the police. We managed to pack up everything in under a couple minutes.

"We can't go out the door; we have to leave through the window.... Pass me your bags" Mikey said, standing on the toilet and opening the window.

One by one, we gave him our bags and he threw them all on the ground.

"Frank, you first." He said, stepping down.

Frank got a boost up from Ray and disappeared from our view. He landed with a light thump, and Gerard was the next one out. Ray was the last one out. We were outside in a matter of seconds and we grabbed our bags.

We stood still for a moment, looking at Mikey for the next order.

"What now?" Gerard asked, taking a deep breath.

"We get to the car." He replied Slowly and quietly, we tiptoed to the car.
---
There was no use in opening the trailer, so we got in with our bags. Mikey was in the driver's seat and no one had said a word.

I could faintly see a silhouette of a man at the front entrance. I didn't know what was happening, but in a couple seconds, there was another gunshot that was aimed towards us.

"DRIVE!!" Gerard yelled as the bullet just missed the windshield by a couple inches.

Mikey peeled out of the driveway in seconds, throwing our bodies back and forth in the back seat. The screech of tires burning filled my ears and clouded my thoughts.

We must have been going at least 120 miles an hour. Swerving from left to right, to avoid traffic.
I didn't notice, but I was gripping onto Franks sleeve like my life depended on it. I had no intention of letting go until we were safe.

Judging how this day is going- I'm starting to wonder if we'll ever be safe again.
