(Philoso POV)

As sad as it is, none of the newer recruits are younger than or the same age as me. I'm probably one of the smartest members, but I'm also the youngest. Nothing's worse than being thirteen years old. And why can't I have telepathy!? Nothing's better than reading other's thoughts. I need that! No one listens to me!

"We do listen to you!" Yelled Daelynn. Telepathy again, I need it.

"And you do not need telepathy. It's a gift, something one doesn't just simply need. One does not wish for just to be selfish." Daelynn finished lecturing me with a frown. Fujin chuckled and I punched him in the arm.

"Shut up, Nagy, old, woman." I replied. Walking away and out the kitchen door.

"Old woman! I am not an old woman!! Nor am I nagy!!!! Come back here you little..!" I could hear Lynn shouting at me and I walked away from the now closed door, smirking. I wonder why Lynn acted like that, yelling and all. But then again she was tired, thanks to Fujin. And, she is the one that threw a dictionary at him. I raised my arm, the mark on my wrist glowing as I murmured the word of an ancient spell, calling forth my pet, trusted friend, and mount, Raion. The young fire horse mare snorted, smoke rising and shook her head. I stroked her mane and neck and mounted onto her back.

I rode off on her, leaving the confines of the small base behind. We came to a stop at our favorite place, a glade in the woods that had an amazing, pretty rock formation in it. I dismounted, allowing Raion to roam the glade freely. I crouched down by the formation, laying my hand against the mechanism that revealed a secret cave. Raion trotted over and revealed a cave opening large enough for both of us. We entered the cave, then I pulled a lever on the inside, reclosing the cave.

We went farther in, Raion's glowing mane and eyes providing light for us. We stopped. Reaching an open area that we had previously decked out as a living room, part bedroom. It even had a food stash I had stolen from the main base. I intend to stay here for a couple days, so there was a chest filled with clothing and bathing supplies. I raised my arm again, this time the bird mark on it farther down from Raions glowed and I summoned my messenger mocking jay. The white bird, with my kanji symbol on its back, rested on my arm while I carried to the only room with a outside view, then it flew off with a message I had set on a desk by the window.

"I hope they won't be too worried, and that Sil won't kill me for stealing Blue to show him this place. Eh, what could she do? She's too shy to hurt me." I headed back to the main room, talking to myself along the way. I patted Raion, then settled myself into lifestyle here.
