(Daelynn POV)
"Just do it quick, and don't hold back." I said to Philoso and rolled up my sleeve.
"Gladly." Said Philoso as he stuck a needle in my arm. Five seconds later he gently pulled it out. He put the blood sample into a sterilized beaker.
"Did Jay get Fujin yet?" I asked.
"Beats me." Philoso replied.
"Why do I need a blindfold?" I heard Fujin ask.
"Reasons." Jay said to him as he guided Fujin into the room.
"Okay, just sit down right here." I said to Fujin. I looked at Philoso and gestured for him to get Fujin's blood sample.
"Ok, Fujin, no matter what you feel, you have to stay absolutely still, got it?" I said.
"Okay..." Fujin said confused.
Now! I said to Philoso using telepathy. Philoso quickly, but still calmly, stuck the new needle into Fujin's arm.
"Ow. Ow! Owwww! Make it stop! Make it stop!" Fujin whined.
Five seconds later Philoso slid the needle out gently. I grabbed the piece of cake I told Jay to promise Fujin to come into the room.
"You lied to me! That wasn't cake!" Fujin said as he ripped off the blindfold and started yelling at Jay, who was trying to hide his smirk.
"Take your cake, and get out of here." I said giving Fujin the cake. It was his favorite, caramel apple cake. I take pride in saying I made the recipe.
Fujin grabbed the plate and left. Philoso and Jay started laughing. I decided to get to work. I started on the experiments, equations, and actually determining ingredients for some sort of potion to give us immunity toward Zukiyo's power.
"Forgot to carry the four." Philoso said looking over my shoulder.
"No I didn't!" I said looking at the equation.
"Yeah, you did." Philoso said grabbing the paper and wrote down what he thought was the correct equation.
"What four did I need to carry?" I snapped.
"It's right here!" He replied. I looked at it... He was right...
"Told you..." He whispered walking away and started testing with the blood samples.
After three freaking hours I finally finished the stupid equation.
"There! I'm done!" I said to Philoso stressfully.
"Hand me that Beaker." He said looking over at the shelf. I did.
"The other one." He said looking at it. I gave him another one.
"The other, other one." He said glancing at it.
"Which one do you want!?" I yelled.
"The blue one!" He said pointing to a bright blue Beaker.
"Then why didn't you say 'the blue one'?" I said using slight mockery.
"Because I like watching you suffer..." He said smirking. I tried kicking him in the shin... Only to find out he was wearing shin guards.
"What the hell!?" I yelled holding my foot.
"Rule number one of many to live with you: always expect your little attacks." He said looking pleased with himself.
"That's not fair!" I yelled holding my foot. I should've read his mind before doing that.
"How is it not fair? You're the one that decided to kick me, I just wore shin guards." He explained I hit his back, he had another piece of "armor" under his shirt. I cringed in pain.
