Sloths, Thoughts, and Aftermaths

(Philoso POV)

A rough night and a restless morning later, Lynn and I were reduced to sloths stabbing a paper with a pencil, desperately trying to remember what we got from equations, redoing everything that was lost.

If Zukiyo were to come within the next few hours, we would be in a Ritter dungeon together within seconds. It wouldn't be pleasant either, no decent meals, irregular sleeping patterns, even more stressful nights, and nothing but interrogation... At least from Silica's description.

I looked over at Lynn who fell asleep. I wasn't surprised, she was up later than me. I heard the door open and Jay walked in.

"She finally snapped?" He said quietly. He picked her up.

"I... Have to... I can't stop..." She said reaching out.

"Just get her to bed." I said returning to work. He walked out shushing Lynn as she mumbled. An hour later I heard the door open again.

"Jay told me to get you breakfast." Adrinna said quietly.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Adiva made pancakes and bacon." Adrinna explained.

"Bacon...?" I asked. Adrinna sat down the food

"She and Fujin killed a Gladiator..." Adrinna explained.

"So, you can walk again?" I asked now realizing it.

"Yeah, it still hurts." She explained.

"Eh, just set it over there, I'll get to it later." I explained she set down the tray and walked out. I rested my head on the table, and my eyes dropped closed. I slipped into sleep unwillingly.

After a while, I woke up, to stare straight into the eyes of Silica. I jumped back and fell out of the chair. She laughed and helped me up. "Good afternoon, sleepy head." She said.

"What're you doing here?" I asked, with a frown. Sure she was new, but by now she should know not to bug me when I'm...working.

"Lynn sent me, there's a meeting in the common room, and she wants you there." She answered, then walked out, carrying my still full tray of food with her. I trailed behind her, and walked into the common room as she headed to the kitchen.

"You rang?" I said as I dropped down next to Silver.

"Yes I did." Daelynn said, and turned to Jay with a nod.

"Shoot woman." I said sitting back.

"We need people to take guarding shifts." Said Jay sitting on a chair with his eyes covered and feet propped up.

Daelynn looked over at him, got an angered expression, and kicked the chair out from underneath him.

"What the heck!?" Jay yelled after hitting the ground.

"You don't deserve to sit down!" Lynn yelled back.

After a long meeting full of yelling. We all finally left I barely made it to my bed without falling asleep. However, once I did fall onto my bed, I was "greeted" by a filthy outsider in it, and it's name was Tails, who was asleep in a little ball. After I landed on him he barked at me and slowly struggled from under me. I suddenly heard muffled footsteps.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO MY BABY!?" I heard Fujin scream. I looked over at him, he picked up Tails, and held him like a small child.

After Fujin got done screaming at me, I fell asleep.
